belly pressure...?

Post by Megan17 »

Hi everyone. I'm happy to be posting on this thread after my BFP. I am just over 4 weeks and due to hormones, the doc thinks twins (at least  ). Today I have had so much lower abdominal pressure. I feel like someone is pushing on me from the inside out, have to pee a lot etc. A little low back pressure as well. I just feel like all the blood in my body is being forced into my lower abdomen. It even can be felt in my groin and hips and legs. Is this weird? It's not painful, it's just a lot of pressure. What is this?

Hi Megan

It sounds like a build up of fluid because of all the hormones.
I myself am expecting twins and have had Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome because of all the hormones. Your symptoms sound familiar, so I recommend you get in touch with your clinic.
It may not be, but it's best to check.

Let us know.

Take Care and Good Luck.

Or it may be that your ovaries are still enlarged. I had loads of abdominal pain up until about week 16, and I wa stold that this was due to my ovaries still being big. I used to be bent over in agony.
Do phone the clinic though and just check it out with them
Congratul;ations on your positive. :D

I was told I have HOS after my doctor checked my belly. I'm only 3 weeks after the transfer and my belly looked like 3 months big. I think this symdrome is likely come with multiple pregnancy. I was detected having 2 sacs. Hope I'll have twins. In case of HOS, you need to drink lots of water, need lots of bedrest. Hopefully it can ease after a couple of months. If it gets worse, you have breathing difficulty because of the fluid, you have to be hospitalized in order to get the fluid out.

But don't be scary, just remember following doctor's restriction, rest well and drink lot of water.

Take care.

Congrats on your positive - sounds a bit like me and I had mild OHSS in early pregnancy so you need to get in touch with your clinic - don't worry it's not dangerous to your pregnancy or anything but it does need checking incase you need any assistance in getting your ovaries to reduce. Come and join us on first trimester thread - lots of us are only a few weeks past pregnancy test and it's good company.
