I was not sure if anyone had any information on this, but I recently had a 6-week scan where one of the twins had a week heart rate (92). The other is doing fine. Has anyone else experienced this? I am told there is about a 50/50 chance of it surviving and this is quite common.
Anything you can share would be great.

Sweetie, all I can do is offer you my prayers that all goes well. As the Dr said to me when I was in hospital, with today's technology sometimes we know too much . I don't think there is anything you can do other than look after yourself and try and rest and give them the best chance.
I am thinking of you and your little ones

Sher8,
I'm not pregnant with twins, but my pregnancy did start with a low heartrate. At 6 weeks it was only 95-98 bpm. My doctor told me it's not super low, but it needs to be above 100. She said that 6 weeks is still a little early (around the time the heart starts beating), and that I was to come back in a week to see if it pops up to where it should be. I was just as frantic as I'm sure you are. I researched a lot on line and found that there's this gray area between 85 bpm and 100. Below 85 is definitely more worrisome.
Again ... I was never pregnant with twins, so it is a little different. I wouldn't be too concerned though. It may very well be that the hearts had just started to beat and that one twin is a little stronger than the other. The other twin's heart may just need that extra week. That was the case with my baby. The following week my baby's heart rate was at 120.
Think positive and as BigJ said ... take care of yourself! Too much stressing isn't healthy for either of your little ones! I'll be thinking of you!
Lots of love,
Kelly

Things are going well. Thank you for checking in. I had my first OB appt. this week. He scheduled a scan for 7/11 which will give me the update on the twin situation. From what I have read on the Internet, I should not have high hopes for the one twin making it with such a low heart rate. But I will leave it up to my next scan for what really is going on. . .
Other than that, I am heading into week 10 and starting to feel a stretch in my belly.
Princess, NickiMark -
When will you be cycling again? I wish you both the best of luck and in the meantime, stay healthy and relaxed.

Try not to think too much about things that you read on the Internet, they are based on general statistics not personal cases. Stay positive and keep talking to your twins - sending you loads of PMA and positive vibes.
Will be thinking of you 11 July - keeping everything crossed and sending big hugs your way.
I had my 11 week scan today. We found out that the one twin did not make it. . .but it came to no surprise due to the weak heart rate at Week 7. I have have been able to justify this and move forward with our wonderful healthy jelly bean that is about 1 1/2" long and a strong heartbeat, nuchal scan was perfect and everything is right on schedule.
The little peanut would not stop posing for the camera and our u/s technician was camera happy so we have lots of photos. My favorite is the feet photo where all you see are two tiny feet with toes. Just precious. Next scan is at 18 - 19 weeks. I wish we could have them more often!
Best of luck to you with twins and stay positive! I was told today that weaker twins do make it. It just was not in our cards at this point in time. I am still so happy we are having success with the entire process.

You will probably get more attention with your GP. It seems once you are pregnant, the fertility clinic is somewhat "done their job." Best of luck to you and keep us updated in the 1st trimester board. I still feel very lucky to have this work out for us.
