My hope and dream has come to an end :(

Post by wildfox »

Hi everyone

Well, I was due to test on Friday 01Jul....

On my successful IVF in 2003, I tested 4 days early with a First Response hpt and it was +ve. I just wanted to get past/prepare myself for day 10/11, which is when I got my AF during my previous unsuccessful IVF....which was exactly 14 days after EC (or ovulation in a natural cycle, which is when I normally get AF).

So I tested yesterday, again 4 days before test date and it was -ve. I was very upset but I knew in my heart that this cycle wasn't as good as previously....

I know each pregnancy is different, and it could have been a late implanter, so testing early might be giving me a false negative...

However, my AF reared its ugly head this evening, exactly 14 days after EC, as predicted....

So I am afraid it's over for me...my embies didn't want to stay any longer.

However, congratulations to all those who have recently got positives, and my heart lies along side those who haven't.

Love Steph xx

I am sorry about the arrival of AF. Knowing that you have had a successful IVF in the past, I am sure things will work out for you in the near future!
Rest for now and take care of yourself.

Steph

I am so sorry - take care of yourself and take plenty of time out to come to terms with this.

Thinking of you and sending loads of PMA your way.

Love and hugs

Steph,

I'm sorry about your -tive, and that you're feeling so bummed.

Take time to treat yourself, and when you're ready try again.

My thoughts are with you.

Thank you for all your kind words...

Having a hard time today...it hurts when you actually see your AF again, when I said goodbye to it last month for at least 9 months :(

My longing for a 2nd child is just as strong as before, and the hardship of failing is just as hard to swallow, as before...

Steph I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointment. I used to assume that those of us with no children were the ones who longed the most, until someone pointed out that you have an even clearer idea of what you're missing if you've got one already and want another.

Take good care of yourself and your DH (DP?) and give yourselves time before rushing into any decisions.
