Miss Molly, you're sounding really strong and it's a great thing to be looking forward with a positive attitude to the next cycle - I'm sure it makes a difference. It sounds like all the prep work you'll be doing will be of benefit too. As you said, every little bit helps.
Take care,
Deanne

MissMolly,
Sorry to hear your news, you do sound positive though in terms of planning for the next cycle. I did accupuncture on the cycle I conceived Annie, so I am a HUGE believer!!
All the best

Just reporting in on Donna and DH's IVF journey.
sadly after all the ups and downs Donna had a m/c and is waiting on her clinic to call her re a d&c.
Although sad, and upset, they seem to have a great PMA. They will probably have to wait until next year - these things cost so much - even with medicare rebates. As you all say you need a break from the drugs and emotional turmoil.
This was their first full IVF cycle so they know it works, theyjust have to go the next step.
Good luck to you all. I will still be checking up on you all via the posts cos I'm hooked on this site now. Perhaps we will eventually need a grandparents thread.
Take care all of you
Barbara (GM) Donna, DH, and GF
Oh Barbara, I am so sorry for Donna and her DH. I am pleased that they are still feeling positive (they must be very resilient) and I think a break is often a good idea...it will help them to prepare their minds and bodies for the experience. I am sure that after everything you have all been through the next time will be a breeze, and with the fighting spirit exhibited by Donna's embie she is bound to get the result that she deserves. Take care and I am looking forward to seeing that Grandparents thread appear on the board.
Best wishes
Heather

Also wanted to pass on my condolences. Is awful to have gone through so much (they have well and truly had the rollercoaster experience) and then have a miscarriage. Mother nature is a *****. I think having a break is a really good idea, means they can get strong physically and emotionally before going down this track again. As you say though, it worked for them first time, that's got to be a great indicator for future success..
Take good care
Belinda
I am so sorry to hear this upsetting news. There attitude sounds very positive & sensible. The disappointment must be overwhelming, but on the positive side they were able to fall pregnant - which is a great positive. Hopefully you will be able to start up that grandparents thread yourself really soon.
Take care

Barb.... I am very sorry to hear Donna's m/c...
MissMolly.... I hope you are resting well....
Everyone else.... hope you all have a great weekend.
My flight home was bit silly, 1 hour before the touch down the flight was re-directed to Adelaide because of the fog...! so instead of lazy 10 hour flight from Tokyo I did 14 hours flight via Adelaide and to Melbourne... ah! Melbourne is COLD! Everyone, take good care, keep warm!!!!! and for our mates from QLD... hope the flood did not cause too much trouble to you and your family and friends.
Thanks Tiger,
Welcome home!!, you must be missing your husband like crazy...you could have a ticker with your countdown until you see him again?? (I am becoming a computer nerd)
Floods up here didn't affect us in Ippy..the rain was fabulous though, so no complaints from me..
Take care all
Belinda
Hi Tiger, welcome back to Oz. I know what it's like to be missing hubby - in my DH's last job he had several trips to the States and the separation, even for a few weeks, was horrible. Thank goodness for telephones and email, hey. Hope the weeks pass by as quickly as possible for you both.
Bel, so glad to hear you weren't affected by the floods. Heather hope your town was ok too? We also needed the rain badly but I have to admit to being a tiny bit pleased to see the sunshine again today.
Hope you all have a great weekend,
Deanne

Deanne,
Is your scan this week??, Friday I think??..I will be thinking of you, it's a wonderful thing the first time you see your beautiful baby (or babies maybe???)
Belindah
Thanks Bel, Thanks Deanne, yea I am ready to go back to my hubby already.... but we have decided to go ahead with this in OZ, there is a mission to be accomplished.
Bel, I would love to have a time-tickey thing as well.... can you tell me what I need to do to get it going? Deanne, you have your scan soon? wow. Have lots fun saying hi to your baby via screen!
Ah, my hubby is online to chat with me!
Everyone, catch you again soon.
Hey Tiger,
Online chats with hubby sound like a fab idea!, isn't technology a wonderful thing (saves on phone bills too!!). There are quite a few ticker sites (actually I think one of the girls started a thread on this general forum titled tickers with names of the various websites you can go to). They're free, you simply set one up on one of the websites (I think I did mine through ticker.com), then paste it into your signature on your personal profile. Took me ages to work it out (I'm not terribly technically minded obviously!!), and I had a few little accidents on the way..
Take care
Belinda (and a big sloppy kiss from Miss Boo!)
