Hello Cath,
I'm currently having our 3rd round of IVF at the Heath. I've found them to be great with me - despite having had 2 -ives so far. They have been very supportive, have given me any time I've wanted and have answered any queries. On each previous attempt we've got as far as having 3 good embies returned so I guess that's pretty good going.
We have paid for each of our tmts, too old to have nhs funding(!!!). Despite paying we've had to wait for a few months between tmts as they are really busy. We began the process in Jan 2004 when we had our first appointment at the heath and it has taken until now to begin our 3rd round (just started sniffing - EC due first week of August).
I don't know anything about Swansea. We were referred straight to Cardiff as we weren't sure what tmt we would need and Cardiff were registered to do more types of tmts.

Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hi Cath,

I am currently having treatment at CARU and on the whole the staff there are helpful. They will tell you what you need to know but if there are any specific things ask them and they are more than glad to answer any queries/concerns that you may have.

Unfortunately for me i have had no succes yet and have just started my 5th fresh ivf (i have mild pco and what could be implantation issues, but i am having extra drugs to hopefully help that). Just like Debbie i have just started sniffing and due to have EC 1st week in August - so if you read this Debbie - Good luck with your cycle and i hope that 3rd time lucky for you - fingers x'd.

Sorry I have no experience with Swansea but i will say that as you spend so much time with them you have to be happy with the clinic so feel free to ask any questions, i'm sure that they wouldnt mind. Is this your first go and what treatment are you having. Whichever clinic you choose i wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get your BFP very soon.

Take care
Tracey
