IVF Cycle #2 - Awaiting the dreaded blood test

Dear girls,

Hi, I can't tell you how great it is to have stumbled upon this forum and to realise that I am not alone in dealing with my fears with my IVF treatments. I am in my second IVF cycle, had my embryo transfer on 21 June, and am now waiting to take my blood test coming Monday. This period of 2 weeks has been the longest ever, I don't remember having ever been so anxious over any kind of examination results in my life! Guess my first unsuccessful attempt kind of scared me and made me realise that failure is possible.

I have been observing some symptoms in the past 10 days or so - mild nausea at various times of the day, headaches, fatigue in a way that is not normal for me - but at the same time I do not want to feel too hopeful. I would like to ask whether it would be useful at this time to use a home pregnancy test, and whether the result would be reliable? I had a FET and am now on progesterone pessaries.

I've also posted this on this discussion board because I would so like to know if those who have had successful IVF treatments experienced the same fears and symptoms as I have.

Just be positive and it'll work out-
As for the symptoms, we all have experienced a wide range starting from no symptoms to lots of crampy feelings, boob tenderness etc.....
Theres a thread on the July 2ww in the general forum- just join in there..
