Hi Sarah and Sammy
Sammy - I have posted you a message under bad back ache - I had bad back ache too and awful af pains. Clinic said it was all normal. Being pregnant really sunk in at day after 1st scan when I began to feel so awful and could hardly eat anything. It was lasting all day and night. I can't sleep through the night as I have to get up about 6 times to go to the toilet. This week, I am starting to feel a bit better. Still nauseous but not feeling as if I can't hold anything down so am now getting really excited but am very apprehensive as I know what happened to you last time. It must have been so hard to get so far and then for that to happen. I am trying to think positive and not worry about things. I am sure all your niggles are your body adjusting and your embies finding some nice place to rest and grow. You deserve to be pregnant and I am really keeping everything crossed for you. Relax and get lots of rest when your body tells you too. I am thinking of you and sending you lots of positive vibes for next Friday.
Sarah - have you got sickness? How are you feeling? I bet your excited about your scan. Not long to go now and you will see a good picture. I have another scan booked for 17th which someone I know is doing as a favour and another scan on 24/12 to check for down syndrome. Have got lots of info on ante natal care now from midwife and am getting really excited. Now sickness is wearing off, Iam really starting to enjoy pregnancy. I prayed for morning sickness and oh boy, I got it!.
Take care and talk to you both soon.
Lots of love and hugs
Louise XXX

Hi Louise

Glad to hear your doing well - you're so lucky to have all those scans! Are you getting extra ante-natal care because you're having twins? Do you have to pay for the Downs Syndrome scans? I don't know whether to have that or not as they are only able to give you a percentage risk factor and then you have to decide whether to have the amnio whatsit. What made you decide to have it, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not suffering too badly with morning sickness but I'm only 8 weeks today, so it may not have kicked in yet. Haven't been actually sick at all, but feel queasy on and off practically all day and evening (not enough to be off work though!!) Have found eating regularly and drinking sweet tea help to keep it away. Have gone off some foods and can't cook at the moment as the smell makes me feel ill - even heating up soup is grim!

Can't wait until the 12 weeks period is here - roll on the new year I say! I'm so worried about miscarriage and have read some of the stories on here from people who've lost their pregnancies early and it's so scary, especially when it happens for no reason. Luckily for you, you're that bit closer to 12 weeks. I'm sure we'll both make it fine.

Were you able to see the sex on the scan or is it too early? Would you want to know?

So glad all is well with you.

Take is easy

Love Sarah x x

Hi Sarah
Thanks for your message. I'm glad to hear that you haven't got too bad morning sickness - I can understand what you mean about cooking. I cooked some soup today and it nearly made me heave. Is it your scan tomorrow? If so, good luck, can't wait to hear how you got on.
We don't have to pay for the downs scan - I said to the midwide that I was worried about that and she said she would book me in for the scan. I don't think I could have the amnio... thing though but I'll cross that bridge if I come to it. I know that you mean about getting over the 12 week period. I am really worried about m/c too after reading all the horror stories. Keep positive Sah - we haven't got long to go now. I am 12 weeks on Christmas day exactly and we are just wondering when we should tell everyone the news. Most people don't know yet. Can't wait to buy things and do up the nursery. DH says wait until new year but I am so impatient. I think it is too early to say sex of babies and I want to know but dh not sure. It's so exciting isn't it.
Take care and talk to you soon and good luck for your scan. Get lots of rest and take care.
Thinking of you.
Lots of love
Louise XXX

[Edited by Louise on 09-Dec-02 23:53]
