help help bleeding/progesterone

Post by lumi »

Hi all

I really dont know what to think. I have had some spotting now and feeling dizzy. I am on progesterone and HRT. Can this be Af arriving? I thought I couldnt get AF. Could this be implantation bleeding? Can you get that with progesterone? This didnt happen last time   I only get Af about 4 times a year. Why would it come early now?

Oh sweetie, hang on in there and rest - easy to say and hard to do. Spotting is so common, try not to worry. Havn't your clinic got an emergency nr?? In the end they'll just tell you to rest.

Hi Lumi

Im sorry I cant really help on the spotting (although it has been mentioned before as implantation bleeding? If it is brown doesnt that mean its old blood??) I will say though, the only symptom I got in the 2ww was dizzyness from 2 days after my ET. Keeping my fingers crossed this is a good sign for you.
Take care

Lumi, as far as I know both spotting and cramping pains can be normal and not a sign that anything is wrong. I have no idea whether using progesterone makes you any more or less likely to bleed. In my clinic they gave me progesterone and said to test on day 14 unless my period had turned up in the meantime so I guess that it doesn't prevent you bleeding.

Phone your clinic if you're worried - like Donna said, your peace of mind IS an emergency. Keep reminding yourself that you're paying them a lot of money and deserve some reassurance.

Hang on in there - much easier said than done. I know I'd be feeling the same in your shoes.

Be thinking of you

Hi Lumi,
Don't get too upset. It might just be implantation bleeding and just calm down. Did you call your doctor? Many women bleed like normal and still end up with a BFP. So don't stress your self. Its easy said than done. I will be knocking on God's door to listen to us.
Its easy said than done, but stay calm.

Hi Lumi,
I've been following your thread. Hang in there. Spotting doesn't mean that all hope is lost. Not only did I spot, but I also had a full on bleed with some cramping. Yet I tested positive and I'm 31 weeks today.

I know it's torture, but you only have a little while longer. I believe you said your test date is Tuesday, so wait until then. Try to relax and think positive.

Hugs!

Thanks girls. I feel a little foolish  this morning after making such a fuss! All is clear, no more spotting or AF . I will maintain a careful check and just rest today. I read my notes from the clinic and it says bleeding on progesterone is unlikely (but I also thought OHSS was unlikely and wouldnt happen to me!!)

I am going to give it an hour or so, as my AF usually arrives in the hour after I wake up. I may call my clinic then.

Thank you again, girls.

Oh Lumi dear, I hope it's not Af..... I think it's a case of waiting, try not to focus on it. Please I had the browning thing going on 3 days before af came and for 3 days thought it was implanting...... But then af came on.

It's always harder on the 2ww to know what to think but please dear just try to focus of the knicker checking right now!

Hugs to you!!! I am praying that it's not af and BFP follows soon! x x

Nicki

Whereyou taking progesterone? I am on suppostiteries twice a day. I actually spoke to a nurse, who basically said nothing will stop AF if it wants to come. She said just to carry on with meds if AF arrives or not and still test on Tuesday. I was hoping she would say test early.

Lumi

Hi there - sorry I wasn't around last night - fell asleep very early.

I have spotting just before my test date - brown discharge (hope not TMI) and phoned the hospital, they said not to worry. I was told by a friend that it can be implantation bleeding and that is why it is brown not red. The only blood to worry about is free flowing red blood as this signifies fresh blood.

Keeping everything crossed, hopefully this is a very good sign :D
