Hi Lumi,

glad you understood my twisted logic. Haven't been to a shop yet, so I'll have to see how positive I am once I get that far.

You haven't got long to go now, but it must be soooo hard to have your DH going away. The only worse timing would have been if he'd been sent away for work when he was due to come up with goods on the day of EC! By the way, there's no reason why things that are too good to be true can't turn out to actually be true - stay positive, we've got to up the average of the July testers!

I know, I keep reminding myself that people actually do have babies from all this! I have taught lots of them, but I cant visualise it happening to me.

I havent 'needed' DH (for his 'goods') since September! I have only had FET, so in theory I could have done the entire thing all alone. He keeps teasing me that I should have managed without him!! He arranged to be there for the ET, but he just cant keep taking time off on important days at work! It effects so many people in several countries if he doesnt go to these meetings.

Take care

Just wanted to share my headaches and dizziness with you. I have felt headachy all day and in the last 1/2 hr quite light headed. I lay down for a while. Anyone else feeling this? Perhaps it is stress - I am not looking forward to DH going away and worried about my mum.

Hi all. Here I am...first day of my 2ww. Well, not actually 2 weeks but it feels like 2 months! lol I test on July 18.

The boredom is definitely bad. I am hoping that tomorrow with dh being home it won't be so bad. But it's not like we can DO anything. Well, he can but I can't. I can WATCH. lol I will watch him do the laundry, vacuuming, clean the bathroom....bet he ends up wishing he was at work instead. lol

It won't get much better once 2ww is over cause my dr says if I get a positive I can't do anything 'heavy' till after my first sono mid August. Guess I won't be doing laundry, vacuuming OR cleaning the bathroom but at least I will be able to go outside by then.

I think I will go get me a ticker for my sig. That's a great idea. :D

My dr says that spotting and cramps are normal...although I can imagine scary at this point. Stay positive hun.

I will be thinking of you and praying all is wonderful.

I am on 1cc progesterone and the dr says it is normal to spot and cramp even though. If you are actually bleeding, more than spotting, might wanna call your re. I was told if more than just some spotting occurred to call and let them know.

Praying for you,

Hi girls,
Thanks for all the messages of support.
I definately think it is all over for us. The bleeding got heavier as the night went on and was really bad this morning when i got up. I was in a right state and had to take the day off work as i just couldn't face going in. Michael took me out for the day to take my mind off it and we had a long chat. I still have to go to the clinic on Monday for the test but we have decided that we will try again as soon as the clinic gives us the go ahead.
Lumi, i so hope you are doing better than me and the spotting has stopped.
Much love to all you other 2ww girls, i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all.
I'm going back to work tomorrow so i won't be able to log on for a couple of days.
Thank you all again for the support you have given me.
Take care and talk to you all soon.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Michelle

Sorry things are not going well, sweetie. It sounds like you have a treasure in Michael. Do go for the check, to be sure.

Me - no more spotting, so far. I will keep checking.

Hi all

just typed this out once and my computer froze, so I have to do it all again!

Michelle, I was so sorry to hear that AF turned up. There is always the possibility of a miracle on Monday but you're being really positive in facing the situation as it is. Michael sounds like he's a fantastic support to you. Take good care of each other. And thanks for the good wishes for the rest of us on the 2ww.

Lumi, have posted on your other thread, but was very relieved to hear that the spotting had stopped.

Chrissy, hope the boredom hasn't got to you. I'm not one for housework at the best of times but I have gone back to doing laundry. Putting a few clothes in the machine doesn't feel like it's too heavy a job, not like hoovering. I have to introduce a bit of normality or I'd go nuts.

Sammy, how are you bearing up. Haven't heard from you on here for a while.

Anyone heard from Cheryl (CC)? Haven't seen her post for ages. She should be on her 2ww now.

I did manage to get myself a new box of Pregnacare for the 4 days I'll have left after the old box runs out. I made myself say "I'm buying these because I'll need the whole box within the next month". Though not out loud obviously.

Today, DH and I decided to get away from everything and forget IVF. So there we were enjoying the sunshine in some gorgeous surroundings, when I developed a low ache like the start of an AF pain. Now it doesn't matter how many times I've said to other people, this is normal, don't worry, doesn't mean anything, I just went into quiet panic mode. I realised that for 30 years (gulp! longer than some of you have been alive!) I've associated that pain with AF, so off I go, imagining the worst. Even had to do a knicker check behind a tree!

Eventually, we found a quiet bench, I lay down and DH put a warm hand on my tummy and talked me through a visualisation of our embies tucked up safe and sound (he's really good at this sort of thing, having a touch of the old hippy about him). And guess what? The pain went away! Felt so relieved.

I've since come back and reassured myself by reading old posts where people say, I had those pains and now I've got twins or now I'm 32 weeks pregnant or whatever. What would we do without these boards?

Anyway, enough rambling from me

Hi Caroline

I know you said you've read posts about AF type pains and women still been pregnant. Ive mentioned this before, but want to reassure you that it was very true in my case! I started with AF type pains the day before my HCG test and had them all afternoon and evening. In the end I was willing AF to start to put me out of my misery! Anyway, it didnt and following my +ve test I then went on to suffer them daily! (All to do with things growing and stretching, which id never heard before).Theyve only recently stopped.
The only other symptom I had during my 2ww was feeling dizzy, which started 2 dys after my ET, so Lumi's symptoms of this brought it back to me. I so hope these are positive signs for both of you, as they were in the end for me.
Good luck to all the July testers this week.
Love Kim.

Caroline

I know the kind of pleasure we can get from reading old posts - i frequently do the same thing and scan 'tickers' to see outcomes etc.

I am feeling quite bloated and 'windy' (again TMI  ) and I keep confusing that with AF cramps. When I stand up I have to keep still to determine the feeling in my tummy. What a nightmare we put ourselevs through.

Take lovely people
