The IUI girls

Post by NickiMark »

Hello girls.
Thought I would start this thread for the girls who are having IUI.
It's come to my attention that there are now a few more IUI girls out there.
For those who dont know me, I have had 1 go at IUI so far and the next go is due to start in about 3weeks time.

Just thought it would be nice to just have this seperate thread for the girls who are undergoing IUI and also a useful place for IUI newbies, new to this site and new to IUI. so it's easier then they wouldn't need to hunt through lots of IVF stuff that may not be aplicable.

So lets hear it for the IUI girls!!!! !!!!

Awesome idea Nicki.

Mind if I join you here? I'm an IUI girl too.

I've only done it once too, so we'll learn from eachother.

Denise, We are all in this together.
My delemma at the moment is that DH may not be able to get time off in August to come with me whilst IUI is being done. I am sure I will ok knowing now that I can survive by myself but it's the issue of wanting him there at the conception so it's more connected. Does that make sence?

Because we are using Donor I really want him there. Has anyone else done IUI alone?

Maybe if DH tapes messages to you, you can play them with soft music in the background?

Ours was so clinical. DH was there, but reading a magazine, not really being too reassuring.

Honestly, why not ask? IUI via conference call. At least he can be supporting you through the process and wait ect.

Good luck IUI girls.

Nicki, i know what you mean wanting DH there. However, as my treatment goes on (not IUI I know) it feels more clinical and I am not so bothered about him being there for emotional reasons as practical ones (such as a lift home and a bit of hand holding!!) Could a close friend be there for you? I am always amazed at the ladies on their own at ET and several have mums there for EC. One lady was delived to EC by DH, and her mum took over at 9.30. he had to go to work! Would that arrangement be possible??

Take care all IUI girls

Hello IUI GIRLS...Newbie Here

Post by Katie12563 »

Hello everyone...I'm new to the board (1 day old) but not to IUI.

My first try was successful but ended at 6W5D. I've been pretty scared,
angry, sad etc. This board is really helping me deal with my "NORMAL" feelings (I wasn't so sure of this until I met others here who felt the same).

My clinic just called and I finally have a negative pregnancy report (beta 5...considered a neg). Its been about 5 weeks since my DNC. They are ready to go forward on my next day 3 AF with meds and my next IUI. I produced 4 follicles last time (have no clue how many eggs that means)...and I got a positive. From what I read there are usually less eggs than follicles.

I'm looking forward to reading and sharing with you all.
~*~*~*PS I posted (on general) a really cute ticker site:

~*~*~*~* baby-gaga.com ~*~*~*~*~* you'll love them!

Good idea Nicki
As you know i have just completed my third and final attampt at IUI with no success, but am happy to answer questions and offer support to anyone who needs it, my dh told me yesterday that since joining in this forum, my attitude has been more positive and thinks it it helping me - i do also, it's funny how things happen by chance.

Good luck to all IUI girls

Holly bless ya. I am glad I helped u through the last one..... Good Luck For Friday. Friday is what day in the cycle Holly?

I had only 1 follicle in my lasy IUI..... were told that in IUI you only need 1 or 2 follicles. So was happy with that, Follicles dont always mean eggs though so it's confusing......

Katie welcome aborad! Glad you found us. We are a great bunch and this site has helped no end.
