I'm back! (anyone else mad enough to start before Xmas???)

Hi girls Starting 2nd ICSI with first injection of buserelin tonight. First attempt in May/June was a success but sadly at 11 wk scan baby's heart had stopped. Just wondered if anyone else is starting down-reg this week??? Good luck everyone, Luv Rachel X

Hi Rachel Welcome back. Hope you have had a good few months of self indulgence! Can't say I am mad enough to start over Christmas but if it fell that way I would as I don't want to 'waste' any months! Am half way through 2ww following FET so should know by Christmas. Good luck. Sandra

HI Rachel, I start sniffing next week then if all goes to plan my scan is the 22nd January and I will start the injections then. It's my first time so not sure whether to give up the alcohol all together or just cut down!! Typical over Christmas and new year, but no complaining waited long enough. Good Luck

Welcome back Rachel! I was wondering about you the other day! You may remember that I go to St James as well. Hope everything goes OK for you this time. I am currently on Day 8 of the 2WW of a FET. Find out on 20th. Good luck! Sandra S - how are you doing, we are both at the same time. I began positive, then very down, now kind of resigned feeling. Rachel, it's nice to know that I'll not be the only one on down reg over Christmas. AF has just arrived and I too am using buserelin. It is my first attempt at IVF, and am worried that I'll have awful side effects, so we are planning a quiet Christmas, and have warned the family that I might not be myself! Hi Rachel, Welcome back. I was also around in the summer when you had your terrible news. So glad to see you back again. I too am ment to be down regging over xmas, but Af has not shown her face- now day 40!!! I am a long cycler anyway, but never this long. When she show up I will be starting, it's a FET though. I was cycling at a similar time to you in the summer, and have just had our 3rd unsuccessful go, so am having some time out at the moment (and today recovering from over-indulging at the office party last night!!) Hi and thanks for all the replies! So, it looks like I've got 1 or maybe 2 cycle buddies! Ella - so you're on the buserelin injections same as me. How are you finding them? Last time I got mood swings (like PMS x 10) and hot flushes and felt a bit sick on and off but it wasn't too bad. Everyone is different in the way they react to the drugs so you might not get any side effects. Anyway, good luck and keep in touch - we can compare notes! When's your pre-stim scan? Are you having IVF or ICSI? Speak soon X Lisa C - so you're staring next week? I've cut out alcohol now (asked nurse if I can drink on the buserelin and she said only one glass with Xmas dinner!). Those parties are not the same sober but at the end of the day, I'd rather get pregnant than drunk! Keep in touch. Mandy - so you're waiting for the old AF hey? Well, let us know when you start and good luck - maybe she won't show & you'll get a nice Xmas pressie???!
