Hormone changes after treament

Hi Girls,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had any or know someone who has had any problems with their hormones long after the treatment has finished.

Since the IVF last year, I have had terrible PMT (something I've never had before) but I'm not worried about that. This year when I was back on the chlomaphene my periods just stopped or at least were absent for periods of time. I have not been on any treatment for the last 3 months but have had terrible hot flushes and just not felt well. My Biggest concern is the fact that I have had to go to the Dr because of a breat lump and I'm terrified it is because I have pumped myself with hormones for the last 4 years.

Any help or advise would be hugely appreciated. I am due to start more treatment middle of August, but I'm just not sure if this is a good thing? I know my consultant will tell me, but I have to wait till August before I B****y know!

Oh Tessa - I'm sorry you're going through all of this. I think many of us know just how meesed up our bodies become with all these meds. They've certainly made my AFs more irregular, but seem to have eased the cramps a little. Is that possible, or just coincidence (?!?!) Who knows !

So, you are still waiting for the results back from the docs ? You really don't need all this, on top of everything else. How soon wil you hear Tessa ?

Oh Tessa - I do hope things sort themselves out for you. Have you spoken to your consultant about the side-effects just to check?

Little P, congrats to you!!! I really hope all goes well.

I will find out on the 26th what is going on! It is probably nothing, but I have been worrying that I might be going through an early menopause? I probably think too much!

My consultant is on holiday for a month (lucky him!) and I'm suppose to start on injections??? (hasn't said what it is yet) in August. It wasn't that long ago I complained that I never see him, I always just see the nurse. I was really rotten on the chlomaphene, it didn't work and was asked if I wanted to carry on with it???
What ever this lump is, it's worrying me. I don't think it is anything serious, but I know some lumps are caused from hormone changes. I think the results of this will determin if I want to carry with treatment or admit defeat?
