Hi LittleP,
My frist scan was yesterday and the jelly bean (singleton) was fine. He/She had a strong heartbeat and it looked very promissing.

When I got home, I noticed that I was bleeding. I didn't know what to do because my clinic was closed for the day. My DH took me to the emergency care and we sat and waited for 1 1/2 to be seen by a doctor. It was a horrible wait, thinking I might be losing my baby right at the moment.

They took blood & urine sample and it indicated that I still have a high level of HcG. We stayed in the hospical until 9:30pm. I just could not beleive this was happening to me.

I took a day off from work today and resting. I am not bleeding anymore and no cramping at all. I still don't know if my baby is still there. I might not find out until two weeks. I am hoping the bleeding was caused by sonogram, but it is just the unknown to me.

It was a strange day. I was so happy and then shot down pretty deep.
I know some ladies do experience spotting during pregnancy, but mine just came out of blue.

So, that was my first scan! Oh boy this will keep me on my toes for another nine months! I cannot wait until the second trimester.

Anyway, thanks for listening... :? :?

Thanks everyone for your wishes and words. :D

Tolbee, try and get plenty of rest - if your HCG was still high that is certainly a very good sign and the hospital obviously didn't see any evidence of things going wrong.

I know it's hard to relax when you get situations like this, but do try and get plenty of rest and keep focusing on the little one inside - I'm sure everything will be fine.

Keeping everything crossed and sending loads of hugs and PMA
