A DIFFERENT KIND OF IVF

HI I HAVE SENT ANOTHER TOPIC TO SEE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME. SOME OF YOU MIGHT FIND THAT I DO NOT TO BE HERE IF THAT IS THE CASE THEN I AM SORRY . I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT.THE ROAD TO IVF IS HELL SOMETIMES.I AM LUCKY TO BE BLESSED WITH CHILDREN BUT WHEN TRAGEDY STRIKES IN A FAMILY IT TO CAN BE HELL TO. I HAVE BEEN STERILISED AND I JUST WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS GONE ON TO A IVF PROGRAM. I DID GO PRIVATE TO SEE IF IT COULD BE REVERCED BUT THE TUBES WERE CUT AND NOT TIED SO THAT WENT AGAINST ME. I HAVE LOOKED INTO SURRAGOCY BUT THAT IS MY LAST RESORT I THINK..HOPE I HAVE NOT EVENDED ANYONE AND THANK

Hi, you've not offended me at least. There are people on here with children/step-children etc

I was sterlised about 15yrs ago as my then-DH and I were not interested in having children. Things and people (and husbands) change and 3 years ago my DF persuaded me to think about IVF. We'd briefly looked into reversal but I like you, mine were cut and I was told the odds were low + there was no guarantee the tubes would stay open for more than a few months (although I'm sure things have progressed since we asked the Q). Our first round of IVF was successful and I've had 2 more + results since then (albeit no babies).

I know of another sterlised 40+ member of the board who has children from a previous marriage. You're not alone

Hi Trisha

Just want to welcome you to the site. Im sure you havent offended anyone. There are many different women with different circumstances on this site. You probably havent had many replies because other women arent in your position and dont have answers for you. Please be reassured you will get the same support and not be judged on your individual circumstances. We are all here because we want a baby and are unable to by natural conception! That is something we all have in common!
I am sorry about the loss of your partner and hope you get the outcome you want.
If you go down the IVF route, you will certainly find many women (as myself) who have been through it or are going through it on this site.
