well, i can start the stim drugs on Saturday!! i'm excited, i think that it takes so long just to get to this point, then before you know it, EC... then then the TWW is the hardest....
i'm trying to go into this one with the most positive attitude!!! i'm hoping that if we can get some frosties... i usually get a ton of eggs, last time was 40, but they do not make it to day6 to freeze.... my clinic only freezes embros that are really good, so that makes their FET rate is SO high!!!
does anyone else have to wait until the embros are 6 days old to freeze?? how about freezing earlier??
Hi every one.... Is there room for another first timer?!
Hoping to start my first cycle during the first/second week of august...
Might be cycling through august and september.... but would be grateful to share my highs, (or lows ) with anyone doing the same thing as me... won't feel so isolated and lonely then!!!
Was told today that might not be able to use sprays, as I might be too sensitive, so sounds like I will be injecting for 5 weeks.... great!!! ... always wanted to be a pin cushion!!!
Hi Nes. Welocme to the August group! I am expecting af very soon. 8 days!!! then we can get going with the IUI.
All the best dear. x x

I just started downregging this morning and go in for my 1st appt. on the 29th. If all has gone well, then I'll start estrace tablets. I have a feeling the next few weeks are going to go by very slowly. I have no patience!!

it really is such an exciting and scarey time and its so good to know there is support around from those more experienced.
well i finished school yesterday so i can now concentrate on moving and injections. got in a flap last night trying to do my first injection on my own, ended up with a air bubble in syringe which i couldnt get rid off. started again and it was fine, but was wondering what happens if you do an injection with a air bubble in? or is it just that you wont be getting the right amount of medication?
Take care and good look to all whatever stage of treatment your at

Sue - Hello I am sooo glad that you are finally on your way well done for injecting - it gets easier - honest. I am not sure about the bubbles - I guess it probably means you will not get the right amount of medication like you said
What medication are you on
Wishing you lots of luck

I did my down reg (Gonapeptyl) injection at home last Saturday at 5.30 - I had a "lesson" on what to do, but got "froth" in mine, wouldv'e made a great barmaid it seems.
Talk about panic - as it also said inject within 3 mins of mixing - but only once froth had dissolved, how do you dissolve froth??
Anyway it also said you could just remove the froth - and the nurse had said not to worry if we lost a bit.
So I went ahead anyway - the needle seemed mush bigger than the one I had tried in the hospital - amused DH with my concern for my vital organs! - but not even a twinge.
I am the biggest scaredy cat for worry of pain and the needle slipped in without noticing - my best advice to anyone doing injections for the first time is not to compare it to the other needles you may have had - it is a lot less bother than having a blood test.
Now waiting on the Menopur - starting Friday 29th if all goes well.
All the best everyone
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend - remember relaxing is good for us all (best excuse for a cold drink and a sun lounger)

Hello All,
Well it is certainly busy on here. I haven't been able to look at the computer for a few days so I've been busy catching up with how you all are.
Things are going ok for me. Well into the injections now - good old Mum! Tummy is starting to be a bit sore and definately begining to bloat. Feeling generally ok though - headaches have got a bit better. Next appointment is Tuesday so we'll have an idea of how it is going then. Gess that this time next week I could be preparing for the final injection - fingers crossed.
Keep up the PMA girls.
Have fun
Love

Well we have been cleared for IVF all our tests came back good, I just have to take a Saline Sonogram? Anyone have one? Did the Injection class last week. not too happy about those progesterone needles. Whoa they are big. So it looks like I will be cycling with all of you in August. Excited but scared.
Good luck to all..... lets all hope for these.....
Hi Sue, ive been on down reg injection since 12th July, when i was shown how to do them I was told if I got any air bubbles to flick the syringe until the air bubble is at the top and then push up until it comes out (its easier to do than explain it ) Hope yours are going ok

What part of NY are you in? We moved to FL from NY.
As far as the progesterone shots, is your DH giving them to you? One thing I do is put this stuff called EMLA cream on beforehand. It numbs the area so you don't feel the needle going in. It really helped me! You can ask your Dr. for a prescription for it.
I've never heard of a saline sonogram. Just when I thought I had been through and heard of every possible test!

well, my stim drugs start date got pushed off a few days... i do not get to start until 7/26, i was susposed to start today... the clinic said that they have too many starts at the same time, so they are pushing me off a few days cuz i usually get so many eggs (40ish). but they have to watch them close, cuz there are most that are not good quality, as we have never had any left to freeze...
