I have so many August Buddies I can't keep track!!! Good luck to everyone....I am telling you this is our time :P

I am happy to see all the new faces, and I am comforted to know that there are so many old faces, because that means I will have a lot of experienced IVFer to to lean on ( and celebrate with ) during this cycle.

I don't post often, but I am always here. Let me update you as to where I stand right now.

(mia is doing cartwheels and jumping up and down)

YIIPPEEE!!!!!! SUNDAY was DAY ONE!!!!!!

I am doing a natural FET ( no drugs ). I expect transfer to be the second week of AUGUST-----very very exciting. I guess a natural cycle are very much hands-off. It seems a bit worrisome how little I will be seeing the RE, but it does fit into my life much better and decreases the anxiety about the whole situation.

Good luck again to everyone. I am sorry I have been lazy and did not address each of you individually, but i do wish you all the best. I hope every single one of us moves on to the pregnancy board, so we can stress over every little twinge together.

I could not do this without you all !!!
Love, MIA

Hi to you all. I’ve just written a blurb but I had to take a phonecall so must have been logged in for too long and it logged me out and I lost it all!! Hoh hum guess it doesn’t like you to do two things at once!! How long do I get before it kicks me out?

So I will try remember what I put! So I am new to this. Debbie sent me over from the intro page so Hi to debbie and hi you all! I am doing IVF. I am on day 12 of Lucrin, day 32 of my cycle and waiting for AF to start so I can be given a date to start the gonal-f. I never know how long my cycle is going to be so I am now on the waiting game for AF to commence – I never thought I would want my AF so much! I had to do a pregnancy test today but it was negative  . I’ve started acupuncture last month and I just had a hope that it may have worked naturally. Boobs feel like footballs so AF must be on its way – oooh sorry tmi tmi! Nicki we can have PMS together! Maybe we should get the DH together so they can rant about our PMS!

In a weird kind of way I am comforted to hear there are others who walking around this world with bruises on their stomachs and thighs – it’s like a secret club! I look as if I have walked into too many table corners! Glad its winter here as the bruises would stand out if I was in a swimming costume! Only the secret club members would know what the bruises were about! Luckily the last couple of times I haven’t bruised. I have stopped holding /squeezing the skin and it seems to help. I’ve also started to sniff numerous times, like a kid with a runny nose, when I stick the needle in – I don’t think it helps the bruising but it keeps my mind occupied and I don’t get so freaked out anymore with the needles! My acupuncturist gave me this tip!

I cannot believe how many buddies there are in August. Has anyone had a count up? I must keep reading peoples replies so I can get to know you and your histories.

JG best of luck to you, sending lots of lovely happy positive vibes, four leaf clovers, lucky horseshoes and two magpies, although by the time you have read this it should all be over so I hope you felt the vibes! Look forward to hearing how it went.

I am glad I am sharing this journey with you all.

Luv JAG x

Hi all,

and a big welcome to the new ones. It really is a big group of buddies and theres no way i can keep up with it all  . Looks like jc is the first to have ec, although i may of missed someone, i think we are going to have to start up a august date testing thread soon, how exciting!!! :D

Well i move tomorrow and i cant wait although it means having no kitchen for ages and no cooker, washing machine or freezer for weeks :? . Its amazing how dependant we get on technology. My injections are still going well and im now on day 6, doesnt time fly when your having fun!!! Baseline scan is the 8 Aug, seems a popular day for a few of us.

well must go as left dh to pack in the kitchen. When we move i wont have access to the internet for a couple of weeks :( , not looking forward to that.

Wishing everyone a BFP, take care
Love

Guess it’s time for me to officially join the August buddies. Been holding off until I had my first scan today just in case things weren’t going to plan. Things look fine and pretty much as they should be at this stage for me – 12 follicles so far. I start the Gonal F tonight and then will have 2 more scans next week before we (hopefully) get to EC the week after.

This is my 3rd round since November so sadly I’m becoming a bit of an old hand at this. First ICSI was a +ve but I then had an early m/c. Second time was a –ve. Each time I get good grade embies and go to blasto stage, but they’ve now established my raised levels of uNKC accounted for the m/c / failure to implant. I’ll be on steroids and aspirin after EC and the clinic seem fairly hopeful this will do the trick. I’m being more circumspect about it – am treating this as my first round following diagnosis of the uNKC but at least I’m back to a level playing field!

Fingers crossed August is a lucky month for us all!

Hello All,
I just can't keep track of everyone on here at the moment. It is lovely to see so many of us cycling at the same time.
I went for my scan yesterday and it wasn't great news. A doctor did the scan (as opposed to a nurse) and she was a bit pessimistic about my progress. I only had 6 follicles and 3 of them were VERY small. She told us that if they don't think there are enough follicles they will change us from IVF to IUI - needless to say I wouldn't be very happy about that. The only thing I'm hanging on to is that on each of my past cycles I haven't developed too many follicles either and they have been fairly small at this stage. By the time we get to my scan on Friday hopefully they will have got going a bit better. The nurse said that we may be looking at EC on Wednesday given the size of my follies - so that means more days of injections and waiting.
I'm trying to stay calm about it. Knowing that my other two cycles were not too optimistic at this stage, but on both times they got 6 eggs and I had 3 embies transferred each time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes the same way this time. I guess the scan on Friday will tell.
Trying to keep a PMA until then.

Take care all

Love
