SA Question

Can someone help interpret my dh sa:

Motility: 24%
Concentration: 19.5 x10e6/mL
Morph: 37%

What does this all mean? Can we take something to improve his motility? And are these good figures for IUI?

I am making an appointment with a RE, but am eager to find out!

I'm reading Zita West's book "Fertility and Conception" as she discusses male fertility ...

Where she talks about Motility, it's further broken down into
Rapid progression
Slow progression
Non-progressive motility
Immotile
and the 'normal' results are based on these 4 subsections, so can't really comment on that ..

Re the Concentration, it says that for Sperm Concentration :
20 x 106/ml or more is normal

Morphology : 15% or more of normal samples, is normal

I may have already told you this elsewhere .. my df takes all sorts of supplements (following the advice in Zita's book). The book is definitely worth a read. I'm sure his goodies have improved, as we had a far better fertilisation rate at the last ICSI.

Hi, I cant help re: your dh's results as my dh has azzospermia (no sperm)
I can help with iui, we are just starting our 2nd go.....
