OMG things have reached melting point here. It is soooo hot you can`t move without sweating, the only positive side is that my water intake has seemed to quadruple, I reckon I`m up to 4 litres a day.

One step closer to our ICSI day. We had our bloods back today after having all the run of the mill tests done and all look good (as far as I can gather). In fact I`m just about to ring the clinic to see whats what and whether we can start the count down.

Off to England tomorrow, shall be glad to get away from the heat.

I hope all you sept buddies are keeping well and fit. Will be back on line in Aug some time. Welcome on board Camilla.

Take care everyone xxx

Enjoy your trip to England Daisy - you'll find it nice and mild here. Around 26C at night in London which is comfortable. We're off to Italy on Thursday for a long weekend. My thighs still have lots of little bruises from the down-reg injections so I'll be planning to cover up on the beach as much as I can. It'll be sweltering over there too - am waiting for AF to start (3 days late but often happens when you start the down-reg injections) so unfortunately I'll have that to contend with over there too, which won't be much fun for me!

Good luck with the count-down - you're getting close now!

Hi September sweeties (smoothies  )

popping in to confirm that we are on trach for September wherever we end up as a clinic.

I have terrorized the whole of the Uni system here and they are being SO amazing and helpful, so we have tests being done that no-one ver thought of, as we want to make the decision if it goe son with DE and dh sperm or if the m/f is so risky that we do also DS.............

in some ways it's a mega decision, but I can say after the m/c, and knowing we are too old to adopt, if someone tells us that the chances are really bad, then DS is it...

hahahaha Daisy you leave Malaga when the Summer gets going and the Brits arrive

North Germany respectful 20-30 degrees....not bad fr surfing right now..also very good for MOSQUITOS Grrrr

Camilla: go to www.tickerfactory.com and then click through the stuff, and then take the bbcode (first window) - I always take the bit [img] and stop with the bit[img] (copy) and then paste it back into your profile (signature). Probs - then PM me

Love and hugs

Welcome Camilla!! The more the merrier :D

Daisy - have a great time in the UK and enjoy the 'cool' air 8) . We will be here when you get back in August! And then the countdown begins!! 8) 8) 8)

Nicola - how are you doing? We were in Italy last week doing the final buying of the property. The sun is so different in Italy - although same temps as Munich the sun is much more intense. Enjoy your time and sending the follie fairy to you!!

Big J - Sounds like you are extremely busy and you definitely have the right attitude! I think the german law is so stupid/small minded regarding adopting  . We have thought about this as well...and may even go the Angelie Jolie route anyway...there are so many children without loving homes these days  . Funny the german government.....how did Schroeder adopt his child last year? I always wondered about this....
September will bring lots of good change!!  (I could go on and on about the german government....)

Hello September Sweeties!

It looks like I may be joining you in late September - unless there are more delays. :( I was supposed to get my CD3 blood work done last week, but I volunteered to be a participant for a clinical trial for a new Ferring Drug study (the drug is currently approved in Israel) and the study protocol requires that all participants be fertility drug free for 1 month prior to CD3 anc CD10 blood work.

I hope to join you guys!

Hi Wendy!! I hope you can join us as well in September...it will be a very busy month :D :D

Although my acu doc is a bit sceptical about me going again in September (she thinks we have more work to do)...my mind is saying September...plus we are not getting any younger :D Looks like I will start downregging on 1 or 2 September (depends on my ovulation date next month).

Wow - the count down begins

Hi, I'm definitely hoping to be a Sept. buddy (FSH test allowing). Current approx. plan:

ca.12 Aug = AF
Day 3 = FSH test
Day 21 = start Synrela/downregging
Day 31 = start Puregon/stims
v.late Sept = EC/ET

I think the Sept buddies thread will be very, very busy. Hooray, the more the merrier!

Hello - Please can I join in as I think I might be a September buddy and I will find out on the 9th August when we have our consultation but they warned us last week that we might be able to start in September. I just have a couple of questions, what are you all doing to prepare yourself to start treatment ?(this is our first go).... my diet is quite healthy, drink 2 litres of water a day plus a litre of semi skimmed milk (recommended by the clinic), taking a multi vitamin and I have given up smoking but I still go out over the weekends and have a few alcoholic drinks and I feel really guilty doing this but I can't help myself!....I was going to stop my alcohol intake about 2 weeks prior to starting the drugs. I am so excited about this and I do have a postive attitude and like you all I just want to give this 100% so apart from the alcohol is there anything else I should be doing ?
I wish you all every success for your future to become Mums/Dads.

Wow, new September buddies joining by the day! Excellent. It SO helps to have support when the emotions start to kick in.

Kyla. You sound pretty sorted but if you wanted to go one step further, get a copy of Zita West's book: Fertility + Conception. She has very clear views and advice on how to best physically, nutritionally and mentally prepare for tmt. One thing, your multi-vit is a pre-pregnancy one isn't it? otherwise there's too much Vitamin A so be careful. I still drink wine, not a lot and never to excess but I enjoy it hugely and depriving myself of it is detrimental. I will stop when I'm stimming. (oh, a really small point but BFN on here stands for a negative test result (Big Fat Negative) not bye for now).

Hi May. The way the month threads work is that people nearly always cross over between at least 2 months because tmt usually takes more than 4 weeks. You might also find some people in August who are also starting bcps who want to chat. Everyone is welcome!

hugs
Debra.

Welcome Kyla and May!!! 8) 8) 8)
September is sure to be a busy and successful month :D :D :D

Kyla - I am with Debra..I still drink wine but trying to cut down to only one glass...I try to eat really healthy and get exercise (I consider cleaning the house exercise  ). Last week I did a liver detox diet (it is in Zita's book)...mainly because last IVF my LH was not controllable, I ovulated early and lost 3 eggs - out of 6...so the liver helps with hormones so I though why not help it out and give my liver a vacation for a week...so hopefully this will help in September. Stopping to smoke is probably the best thing you could have done...there are lots of studies about smoking and trying to conceive...none of them positive.

Debra - I figured out why it didn't work out for us last time....we are supposed to have spring babies 8) 8) 8)

Wow - my ticker is down to the days now!! How exciting!!!

Big hugs, Traci
