Good luck ladies with your EC and ET...lots of baby dust for you all.

I'm on my 2ww since Sunday - been in bed for 2 days now, and am ready to begin walking some more tomorrow. I'm a little worried as my doctor mentioned that if I do become pregnant, I will have OHSS - and I don't have the symptoms yet. It may be too soon, but I'm wishing the symptoms would come, hopefully on the mild side. For now, my breasts have become slightly tender...I just pray it's not signs of my period.

JG sorry to sound stupid - why did he say you may have OHSS? Cor talk about trying to worry someone at a time when you don't need to be hassled. Did you restrict yourself to bed or did your doctor tell you? Thinking and praying for u.

Colleen, Debbie, gail hows it all going? not long to go how exciting! Hows the tiredness and yucky bloaty feeling? How are you all feeling? I think Debbie is up next is that right or have I missed someone??

I think I should be having my scan on 12th Aug with pick up week commencing 15th August? Have I said that yet - sorry if I have my mind is shot at the moment - anyone else have that problem?

Hi to all PMA PMA PMA - I have to keep chanting it!!

Hey Jag - There are no stupid questions. He told me I would have OHSS b/c i have pcos - and if I were to get pregnant, then there's a 99% chance that I would hyperstimulate...I had many small follicles that were not mature or retrieved, and I believe they either collect or release fluid if you become pregnant.

It's my clinic's policy to receive 2 days bed rest after ET - I'm on the move tomorrow!

Heh JG I think its just you and me up! What time is it with you? Thanks for the explanation. I didn't know that about PCOS, oh well maybe I did it was just way at the back of my mind - I should really bring it forward as I have mild PCOS! I hope you were able to rest in bed with a really good book! I'm thinking of ya!

Hey - I'm in Toronto and it's 10:45 pm...not too late. Book - yeah, I was reading Angels and Demons after finishing DaVinci Code several months ago...I feel so restless lately. But Dh was with me all this time - cleaned, cooked...so I had somewhat of a mini-vacation.

If you have mild PCOS, you may have a chance of hyperstimulating - probably mildly, but not too sure about your situation. Good luck to you.

Hi Ladies,

I too have PCOS, and my doctor was concerned that i'd experience hyperstimulation. I'm on LUCRIN and PUREGON jabs at the moment, and so far my scans show i'm doing pretty well. I'm scheduled for EC this friday and ET on Monday.

Amazing grace,
Chanteq

Hello All,
Well, I had my final injection last night - yippeeee :D Glad that side of things is over. Just got to get through this nerve wracking week then onto the next nerve wracking 2ww!! I really haven't coped that well this time. I'm not sure if it is because I am sure it's not going to work or why really. I know that sounds really negative and I don't mean to be but I have to prepare myself for the worse. Having you all here to cheer me up has helped and I'm sure I'm going to need you loads during the 2ww.
This time I'm planning to take a week off sick (on on holiday this week) then go back to work for a few days - then just see how it goes. I'm sure that I will need some more time off sick if I get a -ive result. On the previous times I just carried on working - pretended nothing had happened and carried on!!! Don't think I'll do the same this time - feeling fragile about it already so being in work won't be a bundle of laughs if I get the same result. I have a stressful job that is also demanding so I need to have my wits about me - feeling like I'm about to burst into tears just wouldn't be good.
Anyway - enough of this negative talk - I am fgeeling ok - really.
I've got EC tomorrow so feel like a cat on hot bricks today. Keeping everything crossed for a good day tomorrow.

Have fun all.

Love
Debbie

hi gailp..

i was reading your post about being bloated, i too feel so big... i cann't even button one pair of my jeans.... hopfully we are both going to be blessed with many follicals and many mature eggs...

we are looking at a saturday or sunday EC.... maybe monday depending on my scan tomorrow...

debbie-good luck with your EC tomorrow

JG-0take it easy and drink plenty of fluids... i think that it the best thing for OHSS.... i get OHSS every time, cuz i have a really bad case of PCOS... which they say helps get me more eggs... but the risks are higher..

take care all/...... and tons of PMA all around!!!

Good luck Kagome and remember to get plenty of rest and mental relaxation (although it's easier said than done!)

I'm on day 3 of my 2ww. Started to get sore breasts yesterday, but my bloating has gone down...no signs of OHSS. Time seems to go by soooo slowly lately, and it's just the start of my 2ww. I'm already thinking about when to do a HPT - and I know that most of you advise against it, but the temptation is overwhelming!

How do you all stay sane during this time
