Hi there
I thought I'd set up an August Limbo thread for those of us in-between treatments or waiting to go ahead.
All ok here - sun is shining and I can't believe its August, gosh doesn't time fly!
Hope you guys are all doing well
Eskavon xx
I think that I should be the first one to be joining you on your inbetween-ie stage!
I am due to start my first IVF cycle, hopefully at the end of this week, or next... I had an appointment at the hospital to learn how to do my injections - I'm going to be on Buserelin injections...
I have been waiting for this for so long... and now that I'm nearly knocking and the first door, I'm cacking my self!!!!
Any help or advice that you have for a new starter like me would be gratefully appreciated!!!

Hi Nes
Don't worry you'll be fine.
I don't have any wise words of wisdom to impart. But I did find the support on this site invaluable - just go ahead and ask any questions you wish and there's always someone who has an answer or has experienced it.
It does seem like a long wait but it will fly once you start treatment and I'm sure you'll manager the buserelin injections fine.
Take care

Your 12th wedding anniversary already - well done you.
This is what you will be celebrating with (apparently):
Traditional: Silk
Modern: Pearls / Coloured Gems
Well there's plenty of beautiful items in that category!!!
Becky
How's the day going - sorry to hear that you have a desperate need for rain. I will gladly share ours with you - fancy swapping a little sunshine for some rain?
My cycle? I am on Day 4 of sniffing (hating it ) and stopped taking OCP yesterday so waiting for withdraw AF to come. Fingers crossed for no endo pain with this AF...... I am very worried about it because I cannot take my usual pain killers. Really scared that it will knock me around badly and I will be stuck in bed for duration of bleeding because of the pain.... Excruciating endo pain is not something I look forward to.
Hi Everyone,
Can I join too? I am waiting for my hormone levels to come down and who knows when that will be!It will be nice to belong somewhere.
Tiger I hope you don't get too much endo pain this month it is a nightmare isn't it? Mine has got steadily worse since coming off the pill in Jan in preparation for this cycle, I so wish we could start soon, I had really got it under control. Are there no pain killers you can take?

It is scary when you start but you will get used to it really quickly. It is also exciting don't you think? Good luck
Haven't been on the boards must lately as not embarking on treatment again until January. Feel a little out of it so would like to get back with it and find out how you are all doing.
Hi Eskavon noticed you are starting treatment oct/nov how exciting. We are still waiting until January as we have a mega holiday booked for december, to New Zealand and wanted clear of drugs and feeling on top form, and no uncertainty about whether we could travel or not.Wishing you lots of luck.
Good luck to everyone

Hi Christine - so nice to see you back on the boards! The reason we're going in Oct/Nov and not Jan next year (as originally planned) is, to put it bluntly, my eggs are crap and he's brought us forward for NHS trmt because he doesn't want us to wait too long. Cest la vie!
Welcome to Tiger and Ellie - hope you guys are doing well. Tiger I hope you've got those pains sorted. Best of luck to you both
