Hi, I'm new

Post by joanne442 »

Hi, My name is Joanne and I have been browsing on this site for a couple of months. I am 28 years old and have endometriosis. I am starting my first cycle of IVF in October after TTC for nearly 3 years. So as well as the pain of not beeing able to conceive, I have to put up with the pain of endometriosis!!!!

My DH is Andy, who is 27, and we have been married for 3 months. We are lucky enough to be getting 2 egg retreivals on the NHS which we have only waited 1 year for (how shocked was I when I found out that was all we would have to wait, thinking we'd wait at least 2-3 years!)

I am looking forward to picking the brains of some of you ladies who have already been there and those of you who are still at the same stage as me, I don't know what to expect.

Joanne

Welcome to the site - I am sure you will find as much information here as you need. The girls are excellent and very helpful.

When you feel ready do come and join in the threads on the General Forum. If you know what month you will be cycling in, on the Gen Forum you will find a thread running where other girls going through treatment are talking and sharing experiences. It might help you with each stage you go through.

There is a fantastic book written by Zita West "Fertility and Conception" which is a true bible. An amazing source of information and helpful hints.

Good luck with everything and look forward to talking to you on the Gen Forum.

Take care

Little P

Hi Joanne, Little P got there first with all the good advice! The book recommendation you'll see repeated on here daily as we all love it and it's definitely worth a read before you start treatment. Many of the suggestions need starting asap so try and lay your hands on a copy sooner vs. later.

If you've been reading the board for a while you know how it works by now! Join in as soon as you're ready!

Welcome,
Debra
