Hi Sue,

Don't worry about the mixing - I increased to 5 podwers of Menopur with 2 water vialls this morning.

I'd suggest laying out all your stuff - but just the stuff you need, open up the sharps box and put away any "extra" vials.

I got extra antiseptic wipes and wiped down before I start each day. I also found that NOT doing a countdown (ever helpful DH, thinks it's like blowing out birthday candles!) is better.

Also have a cuppa on hand - and relaxing with your feet up for five minutes afterwards (any excuse!) if you can convince your DH that jaffa cakes are medicinal then you are also onto a winner!

all the best with the mixing

Sharon

Colleen
So sorry to hear your cycle was cancelled – v frustrating and upsetting. You get so far and feel so positive and then mother nature does her thing grrr to mother nature. It is frustrating when you see so many people pregnant esp. close friends who have kids and are preggers again. Be strong and get lots of rest - and have a very large glass of wine!

Sharon - oh my goodness 5 vials there must be sooo much liquid. Thats the thing I am finding hard at the moment - there seems to be so much more drug to inject.

I seem to have more trouble breaking the skin with this one although I am sure it is in my mind and the needle size is the same and the drugs seem so thick and gluepy!!!!!!

Sue have I missed something - are you going for a scan before you start taking the stim drugs? I have a first scan of the whole cycle day 8 of taking the stim drugs.

Dancola – steroids? What are they for? I’m knew to all this?

Hope all is well with everybody – must see if I can remember where people are at!

Hi Alison,

Good news on the de-frosted frosties - looks like you are feeling a litte  too - that says it all about how I feel this morning, but where's the little fat bloated face?

had to go and buy a nightshirt - can't fasten up my trousers! - glad I've got next week off work as holiday time as would have trouble explaining my ever expanding waistline.

having a dvd watching fest this weekend - feel too  to do much, have bursts of energy but just want to sit down (going with that feeling)

Hope everyone else is feeling fine and the weather is good where you are - Leeds is grey today

Good luck for all on Monday

Hi Girls.

I have my scan on Monday !!!!! Oh I cant wait. I wonder what my little follicles are doing....... Cant feel anything happening at the momnet. On my last IUI cycle I felt pain from about day 5 til end of cycle. I wonder what this means???

I haven't been on all week, due a damn virus on my pc. we have sorted it now. Beem tearing my hair out all week with it. I need this site. Not really told anyone about this cycle only the people who have asked, that's it. the whole family know's but friends I have only told a select few.
Maybe thats better then I dont have to live up to other expectations.

Work is being arsey again. I did pre warn them in MAY after the failed IUI last time we would try again in August. They dont liek it coz it's hol season and many people are on hols and they cant get cover. They are just lumping it, I am just going and sod them. My collegues are all supportive and they are the ones I see on a daily basis. So thats all that matters.

I was very stressed earlier in the week due to the sale of my dad's house falling trough. To cut a long stort short the buyers pulled out because of no planning permission on an extention built in the 1970's. Turns out now there is permission and allways was. so god know's why these buyers pulled out and stirred up a hornets nest!

I then went through feeling of 'cant believe my dad has left all this for me to sort' and I felt so angry at him, then I felt guilty for being angry when it's not his fault. I'm so not over his death. I really need him to sort it out and hug me and say dont worry it'll be ok.

So MOnday when this virus hit our pc I was fuming!!! Ended up going to bed early monday, tues, wednesday just worn out with a headache for 3 days.

But you will be glad to hear I am back on track and feeling very positive about Mondays scan.

So lets bring on the PMA and lets get going!!!

Sorry for this long post, but I know u understand!

Good Luck to all those having scan's ,ET and EC this week. So many to mention! So easier just to do it this way so I dont upset anyone if I miss their names.

Have a good Week-end x x

Hi Nicola,

Glad you got back on and can lose one bit of the stress.

Saw that you had a virus - took me a while to work out it was on your PC - worried you were getting booted!

In my house selling experience - not vast, but eventfull - I found that buyers sometimes pull out just because they've changed their mind, but think they can't say that so pick on some insignificance to make it "all right". Good luck with the sale and with work, I've taken a weeks holiday to relax next week so I don't get any questions but now have 11 very small follies (only 10 - not sure 10 whats but they need to be bigger) - so stim drug increase is making my back and pot (as in belly) ache.

Bit grumpy but in a really positive way if that makes sense?

Going for more dreadful peppermint tea  anyone got a nausea relief idea for me?

Thanx
Sharon

Hi August Buddies,

Bad news for me, ive over stimulated, the clinic gave me the choice of either abandoning the cycle completely or going for EC on Monday and freezing all the eggs. By going for EC they said there is a high chance that I could end up hospitalised with OHSS. We have decided however to go ahead with EC, I say we but I made the decision and DH is backing me up. I feel so uncomfortable at the moment I feel like im going to burst. Im just crossing my fingers that I get lots of eggs to freeze, trying to keep up the PMA.

How are you coping today Colleen :?:

Good luck to everyone on here and hope to see lots of BFP from you all :D

Gail.. I'm sorry that your cycle has worked out this way. Good luck with egg collection, I hope you get lots of frosties.

And I hope they monitor close for your OHSS and make you as comfy as possible.

Nicki

Glad to have to back - we missed you.

I'm so sorry that you've had such a crap time - what with work and the house sale - two modes of stress you certainly don't need at the moment. Sending you huge cyber hugs and loads of PMA and Baby Dust - hope you are feeling on top form soon.

Gail

I'm so sorry that things have turned out this way for you. I wish you loads of luck on Monday and pray that you recover quickly. Take care of yourself.

Hope all you other August girls are doing ok.

Take care

Little P
