Post by tony »

so let see, doctors retrieved 14 eggs, with only 2 at the end survived,my only concern after sitting down at the orientation class was ho boy are we playng God here??so i've bin prayng day and night for a miracle, maybe
i need to pray more.........................................T.C 35

Hi Tony .... Welcome to the Site. I'm sorry you've had a -ve. Many of us know just how much it hurts and how crappy you'll be feeling. This site is a good place to talk through your feelings and experiences, amongst others who know just what you're going through.

It'll take time for the hurt to go away, but it will get easier. Many girls here have tried several cycles. Some conceive on the their 3rd/4th/5th/6th .... there's just no accounting for it.

If you want to do some reading, to understand more fully what's going on with your bodies, there's a book we recommend called "Fertility and Conception" by Zita West. It also includes a chapter on assisted conception, which is really useful.

I had more eggs fertilise on my second cycle, than my first. I'm convinced it's because I read the book and followed the tips (diet, lifestyle, supplements etc ..).

Make sure you take it easy for the next few days / weeks, and be kind to yourselves ... do something you enjoy ... things will improve.

Take care

Tony I am sorry to hear your news.

Re playing god - I always think that god, mother nature or whatever you may believe in, has given the doctors the knowledge to investigate IVF and to the knowledge to carry it out. If He didn't like it he wouldn't have given them the knowledge.

I hope you find knowledge and comfort from reading this site. Good luck for the future.
