Debbie,
Best of luck with your embies. That's cool that you got a pic. I wanted a pic of our baby blasts but they said they couldn't do it. What are you planning on doing for distraction?

Caroline,
I was so happy to see your post. Congrats on your growing baby. I really need to see some of us older gals have some positive results. I was starting to feel all doom and gloom. I am 6 days from a 5day blast transfer with 4 days before test. I have alot of ?ovary ? pain. Did you or has anybody else had that. They are just throbbing.

Smiles,
Lisa

Lisa, I sometimes have pains afterwards, many people do. The usual reason is the ovaries shrinking back to normal size having been inflated by the meds. Plus EC means puncturing the vaginal walls so there's sometimes pain associated with the body repairing itself.

I had strong AF type pains throughout my last 2ww (and beyond) and it was a +ve! Could be a good sign for you :)

hugs
Debra.

Good evening ladies,

We decided to come back from our long weekend trip a day early - at least we can have a full relaxing day on Sunday before back to work on Monday!! :(

Couldn't wait to catch up with everyone's news so here goes -

Debbie - wonderful news - so glad fertilisation and ET went to plan. Lots of PMA sent to you now and here's wishing you a merry 2ww - if you are at home, make the most of it and do exactly what you want to do - watch those dvd's, relax with a blanket on the sofa, encourage DH to wait on you if he insists!! Take care.

Also, good luck to Katie and Lisa with your 2ww - Lisa not long to go now - good luck for Wed 10th.

Hi also to Debra and Jane. Jane, have they given you a date yet for EC. Sounded like your follies were coming along really well the other day. It must be almost time for you.

Debra, did you say you will be downregulating in August, if so, me too - 23rd, for FET beginning of Oct (all being well). Had some surprising news on Friday when I went along to collect my inhalers. Our 2 remaining embryos that were frozen, that we were told were 2 cell, in fact divided again just before freezing, both of them, and we now have 2 4 cell in deep freeze - we were delighted - a small step but a step in the right direction.

Randa, so pleased the info. may be of use to you - if there's any information you can share also (with us being of the same age) I would be so grateful. Are you going ahead with FET in September. If so, will you be down-regulating this month. I start 23rd Aug.

Hi all! I called my RE today because of that throbbing ovary pain I was having. He had said that when you get pregnant the HCG acts like FSH to your ovaries and makes them grow bigger and since I have alot of adhesions/scarring from previous surgey it causes alot of pain. So I did a UPT and it's positive! I've also had heartburn and nausea all day. I've never been so happy to feel absolutely miserable! Just hope I can keep this pregnancy. US in 2.5 wks. to see how many.

Congratulations Lisa, nice to hear some good news. Bet you're over the moon.

Katie12563 - we saw the embies though a microscope (usual practice at our clinic). They looked exactly like the textbooks show - a small circle with 2 cells in one and 3 cells in the other. On the ultrasound scan picture you can just see a small white dot (we had to have it explained to usa as it's impossible to read if you have never seen one before). The dot was our embies, plus the fluid that they use to help to transfer them to me. I keep looking at it and hoping that they are bedding themselves down for a 9 month wait.

I'm bored with taking it easy - I'm usually very active. At least the sun is shining so I@m making the most of being able to lye and get a tan (not very likely with my pale skin as I have to use factor 30 suncream) but I can pretend. DH has gone to work today and I've promised him that I won't do anything stupid and I'll take it easy.

Take care all and keep up the PMA.

Love
Debbie
