Hi Fiona,
how are you and Dh keeping ? have you made any nice plans for christmas ? DH and I are going to my parents for christmas in Cheshire to de-stress and chill out. One consulation about not being pregnant is at least i can have a few drinks and be festive !
I'm thinking of having some acupunture in the new year but not sure how to go about booking treatment , any ideas?
As you know we will be going down the NHS route now as we have nearly reached the top of the queue, Dr.leiberman really is a character he was late for the meeting, told everyone to switch off their mobiles then his rang during his talk !
I will be sorry in a way to leave MFS as the nurses there are really nice, i was so hoping to have a photo of our child on the picture board,
Keeping rubbing your angel,
i hope everything goes ok for you and DH in the new year, lets hope this is our last childless christmas, you have been really good to all the girls going through this whole ivf business, lets hope 2003 is a good one.
Bye for now
Merry christmas to you both
Julie and dh (Steve)

[Edited by Julie Martin on 22-Dec-02 18:40]
Hi Julie and Steve,

Thanks for your message. Things are definitely improving as the days go by - I'm quite glad that we've had just enough time to get our heads round Christmas to enjoy it.

I'm on my 3rd week back at work - 1st week saw me completely knackered at the end of the day, and, as we've just re-located to Altrincham (travel time now 45-60 mins one way, as opposed to a previous 15!!!) we were without Internet connection, so got a bit frustrated as didn't get to log on at all.

We're at my brothers on Christmas day - he lives a couple of miles away, and then Boxing Day, Les will be cooking a fantastic meal at home for us (he's having thoughts of chucking in the driving instructor business and going to catering college - think he'll have to wait though until a kid comes along as we need the money . No particular plans after that, and have got to work a bit between Christmas and New Year - well be in work anyway.

My acupuncturist, Mei, is sooooo interested in treating alongside IVF - I'm going to give her as much background paperwork as I can next time I see her (I've got lots of duplicates as having been with MFS for so long) and she even wants to contact Dr Zhai to see if she can get more tips for treating me!. She lectures at Salford uni (but I think she said there is a 200 patient waiting list for the students there - that's if you'd fancy being a guinea pig heh?) and she is in Stockport Precinct Sat and Sun (Sino Medica). She has had 3 'un-explained' infertility successes very recently, and feels its a very rewarding area to treat, especially as she can deal with the emotional side as opposed to conventional medicine concentrating only on the physical.

Les is joining me soon - she's been researching into chinese medicine success with male sub-fertility. If you can't make it to Stockport, my advise is to get someone who will be enthusiastic about treating you, because it has made all the difference for me. Almost forget - she may be running a clinic from home in Sale from March time - may be more convenient for you. Let me know what you decide.

I'm convinced 2003 is the year for lots of successes and no doubt after Christmas will be raring to go but got to be patient also as my appointment with Dr Leiberman isn't until 10 Feb.

Well, have a wonderful, relaxing happy Christmas and New Year and we'll speak after.

Lots of love and Christmas hugs

Fiona and Les. xxxxx

Hi Fiona
Have been thinking about you lots recently. I am so happy that you sound so focussed and on track - I'm sure next year will be the one. Your accupuncturist sounds great - lucky you that she is taking so much interest.
Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy 2003.
Lots of love, Michelle x
Hi Michelle,

Thanks Michelle, and I've been thinking of you too - bet you just can't wait for that 1st scan.

Remember I told you my acupuncturist said I was still young at 35, thinking she was about mid-late 20's? Well it turns out she's 40! Just has the youthful Chinese looks, the lucky so-and-so .

Perhaps we can have a good natter after Christmas? Still not got ourselves organised with an answerphone yet but hoping to sort something in the sales.

Merry Christmas and enjoy all what the New Year brings.

Lots of Love

Fiona xxx
