- ve result

Post by MB »

I just heard that we did not make it. I think I have already cried my heart out.

So what happens now? I would like to do another cycle and the doc is ready.. does this mean that I have to take lupron again starting day 21 of this cycle and do that or can they start stimualtion right away (am I making any sense?)

thanks all for your support and kind wishes

Sorry to hear about your -ve result today.

As far as restarting your cycle is concerned I'm not sure, you will have to check with the clinic, someone else on here might have more idea

MB, so sorry it didn't work for you this time.

If you're going for another fresh cycle, many clinics will ask you to wait 2 or 3 AFs to be certain all meds are out of your system + to let your body recover. If you're going for a FET then most clinics will let you go straight into it after your next AF as there's no stimms and no EC.

Good luck and give yourself a little time to get over the -ve. It might not hit you straight away but there's normally a backswing at some point. Be prepared.

hugs
Debra.

I am so sorry about the results.

As Debra says, my hospital say for a full treatment (ie, not FET) you need to have 3 months between treatments to give your body a chance to recover and get over the medication - also psychologically it is important to be ready to go through it all again.

I am sure that when you have your follow-up appointment you can get a better idea from your hospital whether or not they have a break between treatments.

What is important is that you look after yourself and give yourself plenty of time to come to terms with this.

Take care

Little P

MB,

Sorry to hear your news - its the worst feeling in the world......if its any help, then the old saying 'time is a healer' really is true - as soon as you start getting your head around the next cycle you'll feel a bit better and remember you now have at least a few weeks to enjoy a tipple.....

I had a negative last week and my clinic have told me that I must have 1 normal AF before starting on the Microgynon....

Hope this helps

Im sorry about your result MB. Im on the same boat today. I found out I got a negative. I cried a lot too wondering why it did not work. I too am going to start again. My Doctor is going to let me start as soon as my AF starts. I dont know any details yet. It is definately a really hard experience. I knew it would hurt but not the extent. Take care, lots of hugs. Take it easy and remeber you can try again. My heart is with you as we are going through the same thing.

I would say to to give it 2 or 3 months first just to recover emotionally. I need to be strong to go through it again.
-ives make you stronger. I feel stronger this time after my -ive in may.

MB - I'm sorry you've had this news this time. It's normal sometimes to want to jump straight back in and cycle again, but make sure you're strong enough. A cycle takes a lot of strength.

Take care
