Hello All,
I guess there are mixed things going on at the moment.
Staci - what a decision for you to make. I guess I'd agree with the others and go with trying for another week - you've come this far.
When we didn't have many follicles we were given the choice of whether to do IVF (as origninally planned) or just do IUI. We chose to do IVF and I've now had 2 embies returned so for me it was definately the best decision - but it could have meant that our hopes were over 10 days ago. So, when the clinic gives you a choice it can still be ok.

I hope everyone else is doing ok.

The 2ww is still driving me nuts. To make matters worse its pouring with rain here so I can't even laze about in the garden. DH and I are both really fed up with the waiting so he's getting on my nerves too. I will just be glad when it's all over. Still no real symptoms. Woke up this morning with a splitting headache and feeling a bit queezy but I'm trying to not to read anything into that. I'm sure it would be far too early to get morning sickness even if I am pg.

Trying to keep up the PMA

Take care all

Love

Hi all

Tonyacheek good luck this week fingers crossed for ET.

Way to go sharon!! Good luck.

Staci - I 'm sorry to hear of your dilemma. I haven't been in your position but i agree with the others. If it was me and there were no risks for my health i'd go for it. I'm sure what ever you and dh decide to do will be the right decision for you both. But, remember it ain't over till the fat lady sings! Sending you loads of hugs and PMA.

Good luck Jag for your scan on tuesday same day as mine.

Hi ange how are the injections ? mine are better than i thought although, drinking water++++++ still feel really dry and of course constantly going to the loo. Good luck with your scan on wednesday.

Hi Debbie
Hope your 2WW sails by. Have you tried getting in to a good book. They are my escape at the moment and i am reading about two books a week god knows how many it will be if i get to my 2WW.

Sorry if i've missed anyone out. Sending you all loads of PMA.

Thank you all for your opinions and support. I don't know what I would do without you!

I've decided to definitely continue on for another week and take the increased dose of medication my clinic recommended. It's worth it if there is even a slim chance it might work and get me to the transfer.

I sent a fax to my clinic this morning outlining some of my concerns. I included my phone number and e-mail address for someone to get back to me. I didn't expect a reply until Monday but one of the nurses actually e-mailed me last night on her own time! Anyway, she made me feel much better. She said about half the time cases like mine do end up making it to transfer. She's also going to see if she can get me an appt. on Thurs. instead of Fri. to see how things are going. That would mean I could start progesterone Thurs. night if everything actually looked good and do the transfer Monday (which would allow me to avoid dealing with the problem of DH being out of town Tues. -Wed. and thus no one to give me my shots or take me to transfer).

Debbie,

Sorry this time has been dragging for you. I can sympathize with getting impatient on the 2 ww. Not too much longer now though so just try to hang in there!

Jag,

The results of your scan sound great! I would definitely be encouraged.

Anyway, it's the middle of the night right now. I got up for awhile because I couldn't sleep but guess I should head back to bed for awhile!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hello

Feeling positive about my scans on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Injections are going ok. (But I do feel a bit like a pin cushion.)
DH has sort of taken charge of them. He sets up the inj for me and checks to make sure I have set the correct dosage, then when I have finished packs it all away again and disposes of the needle etc. I think it is his way of being involved and taking back a bit of control.
Also one of the side effects I have noticed is that I am completely forgetful.

I went to the shops yesterday and forgot to take my purse! And very often I forget what I am going to say or can't think of the right word!

I am not getting any serious mood swings  - DH asked me if I could stay on the medication after the cycle as I am apparently so chilled out at the moment

Good luck and best wishes to everyone this week, it looks like it is quite a busy one.

Sandra,

Thanks. I remember your helping keep me sane on my last FET!

You know, I was actually telling DH last week before my appt. that I was less stressed this cycle because I already had seen how my body responded to the drugs on the first FET so I didn't have that whole unknown factor to worry about this time. I guess I will never be giving myself license not to worry again when it comes to this stuff!! :?

Hi everyone...

Update. The nurse who has been helping me at my clinic talked with my Dr. today (yes, on Sunday!) and my Dr. actually wanted to see if I can go in Wed. so that she can personally do my ultrasound and help me figure out what to do. She'll be leaving for 2 weeks vacation Thurs. so I would have ended up with one of the other 2 Dr.'s there.

At any rate, she agreed that if my lining still doesn't look good, we should convert this to a mock cycle for the purpose of obtaining an endometrial biopsy. That will mean going ahead and taking progesterone even though there won't be a transfer because what they do is assess the state of the lining at the time the transfer would have taken place. So, needless to say, as not thrilled as I am with the prospect of continuing medications and having a biopsy done, I am happy that at least this whole 7 weeks of meds. won't have been completely for nothing!

Of course, there is still a chance that my lining will have gotten up to speed by Wed. and I can proceed with the protocol for the transfer...but I don't want to get my hopes up!

Hello All,
Sounds as if most of you are doing ok.
Amithis - your nurse sounds wonderful. As you say, even if you don't end up with this being a full and preper cycle you should at least get some useful info aout of it which will increase your chances of the next cycle working. So, keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome for you.

I wish I was feeling positive about this whole thing. I still feel quite negative about things. No signs of anything yet, but I don't normally get any signs of af. Still expecting af to show up on Wednesday so have been sort of mentally preparing myself for that (of course I'll be delighted if she doesn't show).

I am trying to keep a PMA, honest.

Take care all

Love

How are you doing? Any symptoms ????
You are always so positive and upbeat.
You and Nikki are such a great source of PMA when the rest of us need a kick in the pants.
Cheers to you !
