2nd time unlucky

Post by Nina1 »

Dear all,

Well, it's a big fat negative for us this Xmas. Second ICSI attempt and it hasn't worked again. I've been so so upset and disappointed, as has my partner, and it's crossed over big time with Xmas. Did the test on Xmas morning, knowing I had my usual af pains etc. and as I'd suspected the test said NO. My younger sister has told me she's just discovered she's pregnant with her 2nd, and I practically haven't been able to cope with that. She's been such a good support to me over the past yaer of treatment, and I feel I've lost that now. I'm such a calm, philosophical person usually, but with bumper hormones flying around and all the psychological pressure it's just seemed so uncopable with.

I'm still trying to calm down - Amanda, I'll be looking or your post tomorrow.
love,
Nina

oh nina

i am so sorry- life is so cruel at times!!
you replied to my posting on 'my sisters pregnant' and i want you to know i completely understand what you are going through. you need to take time now just you and your dh to come to terms with this (even if it means avoiding people for a few days) just to make it as easy on you as possible.
time is a great healer and you will get the courage to be there for your sister and who knows 2003 may be the best year for all of us.

sending a big hug for you and dh
take care
hayley

Nina

Sorry about your result it makes it even harder at this time of the year I know. You need to take time out just you and hubby, close all the doors and be together because that is the most important thing when this happens.

It is never easy when it feels like everyone around you is having the one thing you really want but we all end up so strong when going through this and we find a way of coping even if we have a good old moan to each other. We are all here for you so if you want to rant and rave go ahead.

Hoping that the New Year is a good one.

Lisa(Loonpants)
xxx
