Miracles do happen

Post by Loonpants »

That Christmas Angel has been working overtime. I can hardly write for all the tears clouding my eyes!!!!

I think that I am PG aaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

We have had two ICSI attempts out in Cyprus the last failure being Jan 2002. We were on hold because of our imminent return to UK in August 2002 and had not yet made up our minds about trying treatment again here. Too expensive and worrying about getting on that emotional rollercoaster again.

Anyway I'm all over the place with ovulation some cycles even reaching 64 days and dh's sperm count is low about 20% good ones. Last month I decided to buy those ovulation kits just to see if I actually did. And four weeks ago I did and we did the bunny stuff totally believing that miracles don't happen to us.

Anyway I have been feeling shite for the last two weeks, really sore boobs, spotty, knackered etc and put it down to my dreaded AF arriving, symptoms all the same. Two days ago I thought well let's order some tests and see, it won't happen but all the same the obsession took over.

I celebrated my 30th birthday yesterday (not boozing just eating as haven't felt like drinking the last week or so, that should have told me something). Anyway did test this morning and two lines are there. Burst into tears, what a feeling eh?

Want to phone hubby at work and tell him to come home so I can tell him but only have a couple of hours till he comes home for lunch. What to do? Let it sink in with me first maybe. I wanted to tell you all as you have been so supportive over these last couple of years. I know it p***** some of you off when people get PG naturally but believe me we have worked hard at it!!!!!

Coming back to the UK must have kick started us. I have lost weight, no more social smoking since leaving Cyprus, hardly drinking just a few sociables, not running around so much and finally doing a job I love.

I'm supposed to be a bridesmaid for a friend next May, don't think she'll want me now. Still this is much more important. I am going to test again in two days time and hope that all stays well.

Sorry for waffling it's just I'm so gobsmacked and I'm probably talking to myself as much as to anyone else.

Love you all loads

Lisa (Loonpants)
xxxxx

Lisa

That's fantastic news - I can't believe it - well done.

I know that you hear about these things but I rarely believe them and especially with ICSI. That is the best news.

You have to wait and tell him face to face, what a surprise it would spoil it doing it over the phone no matter how tempting that must be.

You lucky thing, have a lovely Christmas.
Love
Sandra

Lisa - that is brilliant news! I am so thrilled for you. I tested positive a couple of weeks ago after my 1st attempt at IVF and still can't believe I'm pg. I am so thrilled for you....you are the second one to fall pg naturally this month - Terri also has! Can't tell you how happy I am and wish I could see the look on dh face when you tell him.
Now you will have the best Christmas ever!
Love, Michelle x

Told DH when he came home for lunch and not sure he believed me. He had a big grin on his face and said he wants his money back from the ICSI treatment.

We are both in a state of shock and are going to do test again tomorrow. Can't get a Doc's appointment until 30th Dec. Just hope it's all happening and that we aren't dreaming.

Thanks for all your good wishes. I really do class you guys as my friends.

Wishing you all the best.

Love as always

Lisa(Loonpants)
xxx

Did another test this morning and still positive. DH got so excited as he was there for the test this time.

Going to my folks today and out tonight so have to start making excuses not to drink as don't think we will tell them just yet as we think that we are only about four weeks at the most. You know the old chestnut 'I'm on tablets and I can't drink'.

I've got boobs like blinkin melons and luckily only feel a little bit queasy when I haven't eaten for a while, but I'm sure it'll get worse. Lulu I'm exactly the same won't truly believe we've done it until see the Doc.

Anyway love to you all and I will post again over the next few days.

Lisa(Loonpants)

PS just managed to get back into size 12 jeans today after losing weight on Weight Watchers, oh well some things are more important!!!

[Edited by Loonpants on 21-Dec-02 10:05]
