Aug 05 - Test Dates

Hi

Had my blood test - my haeoglobin is high, puts me at borderline for clotting problems - so no HCG, I'm on progesterone pessaries instead and also daily heparin injections.

This will continue until my pregnancy test and (hopefully) for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy - would be more than happy to do that! PMA PMA

Resting up now and good news - my mum is home from the USA tomorrow - she's missed all my treatment so far so I'm looking forward to some mum-pampering!

thankyou for all the best wishes... we are very excited.

I am reeling from all the bad press at the moment about the morality of lesbian couples having IVF and I am afraid to say that I have allowed it to colour my perception of anything to do with IVF.

we actually tested on the 1st of August. we have our 5 week scan on the 22nd (monday. My wife is nervous at every step (of course) and I now know what it feels like to be a spare wheel as she gets all the congratulations (present company excepted of course) and I get told to "look after her" (like I was going to send her on a 25 mile run to fetch my slippers or something)

She looks lovely and I am so proud of her.

Hello All,
Well, I gave in to temptation and did a hpt and got a BFP
I'm due to go to the clinic tomorrow for a blood test so I know that they may give me different results but for now I can assume that I am pregnant. I can hardly believe it, neither can dh. He's now worried that the clinic will say that I'm not and he'll be even more disappointed.

Yay Debbie, way to go! I think at this late stage you can safely assume a BFP and celebrate. I am so happy for you and DH, you must be so incredibly relieved and excited. I hope the next 8 and a bit months is very uninteresting (meaning everything goes really well and you have no hassles).
