Hi everyone i am new to this site I had my ET on Wed 18th Dec and i am due to test on new years day but was having some cramps from chritmas day for few days then all is better do not know what to think
I decided to do my test early like today but it was negative. Is there any one who has had a negative then positive result out there.
This is my 3rd go at icsi 2 failures the last time but i have never got this far without any bleeding
Hi Carol,

I think you ought to test again on the 1st Jan, as you can't be 100% sure if you test earlier than 14 days after et - you've tested on day 12. I can't speak from experience as my 2 icsi cycles haven't worked for me, but I've monitored big-time the experiences of others on the site, and I know that the only way you can really be sure is to test on day 14.

I've got everything crossed for you - good luck!
love,
Nina
Thanks nina for your reply. Here's hoping for the new year.At present i don't have any pain just white discharge which is proably from the pesseries i am useing but sometimes this can hold back the bleeding for a few days.My dh an i have been trying for 19yrs but icsi was not available when we really needed it.I was 40 this year and it gets very hard every time we try and fail.It would have been great to know in the past this site was available and that such good support was there. You all sound so supportive to one another.I am very sorry to hear your bad news.good luck in 2003 speak to you all soon

[Edited by carol on 30-Dec-02 21:53]
Carol,

good luck for test new yrs day, what a day to have to do it.
I feel that the 5 yrs we have been trying pales into insignifcance with what you have had to contend with, you must be very stong so keep positive, and look forward to hearing how you get on.
everything crossed for you and dh,
Fi
XX

Dear Carol,
Many thanks for sending me the email on ICSI and I wish you great luck with your treatment. My Japanese friend has also been trying for about 15 years and she will re start fertility treatment next week after hearing about ICSI. She also said that in the last 10 years or so, treatments for fertility have advanced so much but unfortunately she hasn't kept up with most data thinking it is impossible for her and her hubby to concieve. Anyway, she is 44 and as I said will start the treatment soon.
Best Wishes
Neroli
