Egg Collection & Nausea

Hello,

We had egg collection last Wednesday, it is now Sunday and egg transfer on Friday but my wife is still feeling bloated, nauseas and was sick once early this morning. We are using the pessaries provided by the doc but we were expecting her to maybe feel a little better by now. Is this the case or how long should we expect this to go on for. Weve spoken to the nurse this morning and are having a scan tomorrow to check all is okay and no ovarian hyperstimulation or what ever its called. They dont seem to give you to much info on how you will feel after the EC and if possible can anybody else whos been through this let us know how they felt and for how long.

On the dreaded 2 week wait.......

It is quite normal to feel really bloated after egg collection, I felt bloated for the full 2ww. I had 21 eggs collected so therefore the hospital said that I should drink plenty of water (2ltrs per day) as apparently this helps prevent OHSS.

Hi Bob ... Sorry your wife's not feeling too great. I had 24 follies last time, and had cramps to the point I couldn't stand up straight, for a full 7 days from EC. Didn't throw up though .. Hope the scan shows everything is well. If you want your test date adding to the Aug test thread, just say so (and tell us when it is) ..... We can then all cheer you on .. !!

Hope everything is ok - I'm sure the scan will reassure you both that it is just the normal bloating following EC.
