Hi all
Just need to vent as I have just had one hell of a row with my family and they have packed and left !!!
My mum and dad were due to leave tonight anyway but my brother was staying here and his girlfirend was joining him for Hogmanay. Well I fell out with him for not respecting me or my house and my M & D took his side and they all packed and left !!
We are meant to be going away on Sunday to a cottage we have booked but they have said they are not coming.
I am so mad at them as they constantly baby him ( he is 25 !!!! )
So I have been in tears all day and DH is blazing. I have never fell out with my parents before but I am so mad at them.
What do I do ??
any ideas ??
sorry for being a moany old cow
love woppa
xxxxxxx

Hi Woppa

doesn't sound like you're being a moaner, you're just justifiably upset.

Beck's right try not to stress yourself, and if you feel o.k about calling them to make up then do so (if you haven't already).

Bloody families eh.....what would we do without them?!

Take care and good luck,

Suzanne.x

Well Christmas always starts a few family rows doesn't it? Hence the reason we stayed on our own.

Woppa you need to concentrate on you right now and it doesn't matter about all the other rubbish going on. It was unfair of your mom and dad to take sides. Do they know what you have been going through lately? Mine were a little insensitive when I had one of my failures and couldn't understand why I was so snappy etc.

Give it a couple of days till you have all calmed down and see what happens.

Lisa(Loonpants)
xxxx

Thanks all for the messages. So far nothing has been resolved. My DH phoned them this morning to see if they were still coming away with us ( to a cottage we have booked for New Year) and my dad just said no there has been too much upset.
Well I am not backing down( I am stubborn at the best of times) but I don't need any more stress. I am due to start my FET any day now, Just waitng for AF to start.
Hopefully things will resolve once it calms down a it so will keep you informed.
love to you all
woppa
xxxxx

Woppa hun,
Families eh?????? The last thing you need to worry about at the moment is them hun. You and what's happening in your life at the moment are the most important things. I know a family row is difficult, especially at christmastime, but i know from past experience that they will need you before you need them. I know that sounds harsh hun, but you hafta put yourself first, especially at the moment. My advice would be, for what it's worth, is to go away with hubbs anyways, and have yourself a nice relaxing time anyways, and let the rest of them sort it out. At the end of the day, there is only 2 people that you need worry about, you and hubbs.
Hope your treatment goes well hun, you take care of you,
Loadsa love,
Heather xxx

Hi woppa,

Sorry to see you had such a bad time and hope that it has all sorted itself out by now.

Being a bit of an expert on family rows (!) everyone is right, eventually they will come round and see they shouldn't have taken sides (my mum took my ex-husbands side when we broke up - she regretted it big time later, as she has the recent rows we've had) especially with all you have had to cope with recently.

You must put yourselves first - you need the calm before putting yourself through another treatment cycle. Ever fancied taking up something like TKD? Does wonders for stress levels all that punching into thin air! A cottage sounds just as good - hopefully with a roaring fire and lambs rug hearth (hey, sounds like there may be nice times to have without them there? hee)

Thinking about you and hope 2003 will bring more happiness than you could ever imagine.

Lots of Love

Fiona xxx

Hiya Woppa - hope that now things are sorted and that by the time you read this you'll have had a relaxing break - even if its been just the two of you! Shame you didn't fall out sooner - some of us could have come and shared your cottage with you (joke!). Anyway, best wishes for 2003 - its going to be a good one!

Alison

Just to let you know that my parents turned up on new years eve at the cottage we had booked. Nothing was said about the fall out and we just hugged!!! Feeling so much better for "talking to them now" Got my af early so have started sniffing for our FET. Got first scan on 13th January--shitting myself already about it all--hopefully all will be ok this time
.
love
woppa
xxxxxxx
