Hi Ladies How's the weekend been ?

Gail- iposted you on another thread...hope you are managing to take it easy and rest. WORK can wait...this is more important creating life!

Jag+ Denise- how are you doing today ? thinking of you both sending Big hugs.

Ange- good luck with your EC tomorrow

Staci- sweetie sorry to hear the news...REST is BEST at this time you are so right...big Hugs...

An update of my treatment came yesterday when i phoned the clinic. I have an appointment 14th Oct to meet with the consultant to discuss my poor response. The next tmt will be an antagonist protocol. (i.e. no down reg at day 21 but treated as a natural cycle). I feel a bit in Limbo at the mo. Waiting on AF to come after last down reg 14th Aug. I have been told it could be late as in 6wks away.
It's funny  ......how we are either waiting on AF to come so we can start tmt or wanting it NOT to come so we have a BFP...

anyway tomorrow is another day...

Hi, to Paula, Quasi ,Sand, Chanteq ,Babysoft, Nicola, Clair ,Tiger, Smita and anyone else I have mistakingly forgotten .

love to you all

HI everyone!

gail, are u feeling better now? hope u are doing well and dh is looking after u. Just think of the NINE embies you;ve got waiting for u to get better soon... how great is that?! :)

hi sand, yup i had my ET on thurs. From 9 eggs they managed to get get 6 good embies, so we've tranferred 3 and froze 3. :)

The time round i had a better result than the last ivf (6eggs but 3 embies) coz we went back to an older method of ivf where i take suprefect (the meds that block of my natural cycle) for 4/5 days longer, then start stimming. The dr says the last time, coz we only blocked my natural cycle partway, there was one dominant egg and thus the smaller eggs were not inclined to grow. I hoped I explained that right. I'm not v sure of it myself.

ANyway, dr called me in for a scan yest to see how my ovaries are doing. I must have asked him a dozen times if he was sure he can't see anything... lol. He wants me to go in for another scan on thurs. It's worrying me why he wants me to come in for all these scans.. although he has reassured me he just want to check if everything is ok.
DH reckons he needs to a new extension to his house hence all the extra visits. lol.

Jen, u are so right.. who would have thought the blasted AF would consume my thoughts like this!!

Good luck Clair and Ange for EC today. Hope u have lots of good follies..

Jag, how are u?

hugs to everyone,

im still feeling a bit rough Quasi, but ive been warned that it will take time and some of the pain i am feeling is my ovaries trying to shrink back to size and I also have the AF from hell, what perfect timing  gets it out the way though :D Im going to the clinic on Thursday so fingers crossed that my ovaries will have shrunk a bit by then.

Good luck to everyone :D

Good morning Girls

Quasi, congrats on having 3 embies transfered...fingers crossed....Loads of BABY DUST getting sent your way.

gail i am glad to hear that you are slowly on the mend. keep looking after youself and you'll soon be ready for FET....

During tmt I was amaze the hormones put so much weight on me. And I had only 5 wks of them and jumped 2 clothes sizes in jeans. Which considering my tmt was cancelled in the stimmi stage due to no follies growing I thought pretty strange...Do any of you have the same problem?

anyway on a lighter note...I can now get back into my fav jeans.. ...they are still a little tight on my thighs but what the hell! So I am feeling a bit more up beat, having lost 6lbs since treatment was cancelled.
I am going shopping this afternoon with my mate 8) ...haven't wanted to buy anything for ages just incase I got preg...silly isn't it but I had so many hopes for this tmt...ah well! the brighter side is I can buy a few things in the sale before next tmt in nov.

Happy 'HUGGY' Monday to you all.

Quasi,

Glad to hear your transfer went well. I didn't even know they could do scans after the transfer...just assumed they couldn't for some reason!
My clinic never does anything after transfer (not even bloodwork). I kind of wish they did something just to make sure things were going ok!

Gail,

Sorry you've had such a rough time of it. When I did my first IVF, I was so paranoid about OHSS that I think I almost drove my Dr. crazy telling her to make sure my estrogen levels didn't get too high! It sounded like such a terrible thing to go through. I've heard AF should help get rid of any OHSS symptoms...but maybe that is only in mild cases?

Jen,

I also tend to hold off on clothes shopping when I know I'll be cycling soon and during a cycle. Well, now that mine was cancelled, I'll be going out this week to buy some things too. As far as the weight gain, I've always been careful about what I eat during a cycle and exercise up to the point I can but still always gain a few pounds and feel my clothes get tighter. Fortunately, it usually comes right off easily the week after I stop meds and have AF so I guess a lot of it is just water weight (although it's hard convincing oneself of that when you're in the middle of a cycle and struggling to zip up your pants!)

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Staci
