HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

Post by geraldine »

hello everyone
I haven'nt logged on since before xmas as yet again things were not looking to good as i had bleeding for a couple of days about 2/3 days after ET,clinic said it could be down to low hormone level after ET.I was so disapointed as this was my 3rd ivf/icsi attempt and also as 2 blastocysts were transfered which have a much higher success rate,i felt this was never going to work for me,ever.I continued to have the most awful A/F pains and was expecting full flow any minute of every day leadind up to my test{boxing day}even decided to get totally hammered on xmas day, thats how sure i was that i had failed yet again,i had 10 people round for xmas dinner, hating every minute of it but things seemed so much better after my 4th glass of strongbow{funny that},even better after alot more, was even doing the cheeky girls dance with my 7 year old niece{cringe}.So anyway, got up with sore head decided to do test before better half got up to get it over with,as i did with 1st and 2nd time and shock, horror there in front of me were 2 blue lines, suddenly felt very sick and panicky. So to say the least we're both still in shock,5 weeks pregnant and scan on 14th,can't wait....
so i'd just like to say there is a light at the of the tunnel after all, even negative people like myself get it wrong sometimes.
good luck to everyone for 2003 on the most emotional rollercoaster in the world.
love ger xxxx

laura
thanks,it was an amazing xmas pressie, but its still early days so i'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed.thought i'd mention i had acupuncture during treatment this time as i had read an article in a mag that it prepares the uterus to accept embryos but most importantly the success rate doubles during acupuncture, as i am a bit of a sceptic i wasn't to sure at first but thought what the hell,so i don't know if it helped this time or if it would have happened anyway, but its definately worth a go,i,m going to go once a month throughout pregnancy as he's taken alot of woman through full term.i'll be glad to answer any questions if anyone is interested.
love ger xxxxx
