Bed rest after transfer??

Just wondering how many of you are put on bed rest after ET. My clinic recommends bed rest the day of the transfer and the day after. I have looked up information regarding this, and as far as I can tell, there is no signifigant proof that bed rest increases chances of pregnancy. Of course I'm not running marathons or heavy lifting, but I do believe that nature takes it's course wheather we lie in bed or resume a normal life. Any opinions would be appreciated!!!

Lori, no bed rest at all here. I did spend last ET on the sofa and some of the next day too but I totally agree with you, my clinic say to take it easy, do everything as normal and not to do anything wildly active or new.

Whilst I slowed down after ET for a few days, I went back to work on Day 4 last time and still got a +ve. I started a new job during my first 2ww and that resulted in a baby. Having said that, many people have more stressful or physical jobs than mine (adult education) and so feel to give themselves the best chance, resting for as much of the 2ww as possible is the only way to go.

I agree with D anyway bed rest for me is like you'd need to nail me down!!

I rested on the day of ET and then we walked a lot as we were in Barcelona anyway..after that 4 dogs to walk etc ..I was very well PG, that had nothing to do with the m/c later. Keep moving, it's good for blood supply. I would think mental stress would be worse for you.

Lori ... These 2 ladies who have just replied to you .. Debra and BigJ .. Well, Debra spent her 2 weeks shifting snow and BigJ was living it up in Barcelona - and they both got +ves ..!

Whereas I spent approx 3 months in bed, and got a -ve.

... Em, I now know where I went wrong ..
