Hello all you preggies! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 5 weeks pregnant today. This was my 2nd IVF attempt w/ a donor. We transferred 3 embies on a FET cycle on August 3rd. Got results on August 16th...
My first betal level was 75. 48 hours later it was 125. 4 days after my last check, it is at 696. My nurse said I am right where I wanna be. Does anyone have similar numbers?
So, is it every 48 hours my numbers should double? SO, 75 to 150 to 300 to 600? Or is it supposed to go up 66%? I am so confused!!!
So, my nurse said that I don't have to take another betal test anymore because they are comfortable with the numbers. But I can next week if I'd like as my U/S isn't until September 6th. Any advice?
Thanks!!!
Congratulations on your BFP!!
My beta levels were not v.good in the begining, so I agonised over them!
I was 52 on day 13 and 81 on day 15. My clinic were worried that it might not progress, but Im 19 wks pregnant now.
What I read was generally they expect the levels to double every 2 dys, however they should be going up by at least 66% if not. (If you worked mine out it was less than 66%!!). The good news is that your levels are going up and your clinic is happy with them. Personally, after all I went through with mine, I wouldnt put myself through another beta test if I were you! The best way to tell if everything is progressing by 6 weeks onwards is by an ultrasound scan, but obviously you do whatever you feel happiest with. The website that Olivia has mentioned is very good.
Enjoy your pregnancy!

Thanks so much for the advice, Kim! My best friend told me not to because I get so nervous the day of. I just spoke to my nurse, and she also agreed that if it makes me that nervous, I should just wait for the ultrasound on the 6th!
Easier said than done, but do not worry too much about your HCG levels. It is a good indicator of pregnancy, but you really find out the detail at your first scan. Your numbers sound healthy and congratulations!
