You are such a sweetheart Bel, thank you for your support in my drama with needles. I did great today. I didn't do it myself. Instead, my daugthers friend who is also 15 was over this morning and she gladly volunteered. After sensing her overwhelming confidence I gladly accepted and WOW, it was the best injection I've had yet. Go figure!! I didn't even feel it! I'm still in shock over it.. hahaha I told her she had to be here tomorrow at the same time  I might have to pay her to get her here on the weekends

Sounds like you had quit the hair raising bath tonight  Sounds like one of those great stories that has to be written down somewhere and used in the future

Tiger, thanks for welcoming me. I love this place and am so happy that I found it. The girls here are magnificant! Sounds like your on cloud nine right now being back with dh. That's fantastic!! I'm happy for you, I know what it's like being away from dh. Mine is away right now, although I'm not missing him at injection time I am missing him the rest of the time  Sorry to hear your tmt was cancelled, but glad your with your dh and so happy :) Sounds like your doing really well. Do you have any plans on when you'll start tmt again?

Well I guess that's it for me for now. Hope everyone here is doing great! Blood test for me in the morning. I"m nervous, for the results, I hope they're ok.

Hi Heather, Deanne, how are you ladies doing? Hope everyone is good and staying warm. It's been pretty cool down here in Sydney, I wish summer would come sooner. Talk to you all soon.

Paula,

YAY!, that's wonderful!!..I have to say that having someone a bit distant from your close family to do injections is probably quite clever..From their perspective they're not going to have that emotional attachment to you or to the outcome of the IVF process, and might just get in there and do it..My hubby was always trying to be so gentle and tentative, in then end I would scream "just do it!!!"..Good luck with the blood test today, let us know how it all goes.
Take care

Hey Bel,

Today didn't go well for me. Level was 70, I have a scan booked for tomorrow morning for 8:30am but the nurse said it didn't look good. She doesn't think i'm responding at all to the treatment :( I'll let you know tomorrow what happens. Take care of yourself

Ahhhh Paula, that sucks big time. I know our clinic always said that this could happen on the first cycle, and that often they needed to play around with the dosage / drugs so that you respond optimally. Be assured that IVF is a well known technology, there are so many protocols these days, if you aren't responding to one, there is bound to be another..
Chin up buddy, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, do let us know how it all goes..

Hey Paula,
Just read your post, wow!!!, what an amazing morning!!!..the baby gods certainly seem to be smiling on you my dear!..I reckon the scans are always more reliable than the bloods, on the pregnant after treatment thread there is always someone saying that their HCG was really quite low and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy. The scans can't lie!!
Well done!!
Hope all other aussie / kiwi chicks are good..Annie-boo and I are great, have just been to the park for lunch and a play, life is good.
Have a great weekend all

Wow, everyone sounds really happy! Great to see....spring must be in the air!!

Paula, so glad that everything seems to be working out ok...it is all so confusing isn't it? Let's hope those little follies are growing like crazy and the next blood test matches the scan. Good to hear that you have the injections sorted out too, that is how they should be, quick and painless.

Belinda, great weather for a picnic in the park. Glad that Miss Boo is finally over the winter blues and is happy and healthy.

Tiger, I am so glad that I might have company for my cycle. I was gonna put it off for a month (I am soooo tired) but will push on and get it over and done with. What is with the hamster? Maybe he missed you and was comfort eating while you were away!

MissMolly, how is everything going? I hope your body is doing everything it should and the cycle is a breeze. Take care.

Best wishes to the preggers ladies. When do you both have your next scans? Are you going to find out the sex? How exciting.

Airlie Beach was fun, albeit incredibly busy. Ate and drank lots and managed to get to Daydream Island and Hamilton Island. We have decided to go back up in a month or so and spend some time on Hayman Island...it looks beautiful! I put my mum on a plane back to Canberra this morning and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend of doing nothing (well, maybe some washing). Hope you all have a great weekend.

Cheers
Heather

Hi everyone!

Sorry I have not posted for a while. I have had a bit of a flu. Injections seem to be going well - I have a lot of discomfort on both ovaries (hope this is a good sign!!!) Feeling pretty yuck at the moment. I have taken a few days off work & won't be back until after the transfer  .

Acu is going well - very aggessive now & a little uncomfortable. Alice is happy with my progess. My scan is on Monday morning (my 30th birthday!!!!!)

Paula - welcome to the thread! It looks as though we are at about the same stage with our cycle. I am going to read your other posts & get up to speed with your situation. You will find this forum to be a life saver!!!!

Sounds like the pregnancies are going wonderfully  :D

Heather - when do you start your next cycle??

Tiger - glad to hear you are back with DH & happy.

Its such a lovely day here in Melbourne - about 20 with perfect blue sky.

Hi all!!

MissMolly, 20 and blue skies sounds just divine!!..Glad that you're over your flu, is a nasty thing and seems to be prevalent this time of year..Good thing to get it out of the way before your IVF cycle kicks up a gear, I was always nervous about taking any medication etc during the 2ww and just NEED codral cold and flu type medication to keep me human during a cold..You also can't take any of those medications while you're breastfeeding as the Pseudoephedrine (sp?) can "dry up" your milk supply..so bring on the colds and flu now so that you can be healthy during your pregnancy and breastfeeding I say!!..Good luck for your scan on Monday, please let us know how it all goes..Us Aussies and kiwis have had some good luck, let's see it continue!..oh, and happy birthday for Monday as well, have a lovely day!

Heather, glad that the holiday went well. We LOVED Hayman Island and would soooo recommend a trip there. We had two weeks and it was just so divine, very relaxing and luxurious (as well as expensive, but whatever, we had a fabulous time!!)

Tiger, how are you going catching up with your gorgeous hubby?, hope you're having a lovely time.

Paula, how are you going with needles etc this weekend??

To all others hello and hope you're doing OK.

We're doing well, I took Annie to meet my IVF doctor on Friday, was very emotional (tears all round). We are so lucky.

Chat soon

Hi everyone

Just got home from my scan. It went well - 10 follicles on the right & 6 on the left. Ten of them are quite big. I am waiting for the nurse to call to tell me when EC will be - maybe thursday???

I went & bought some skincare products this morning & the sales assistant asked if I wanted to go on the mail list. I said ok. She entered my details on the computer, and it came to the age goups. She said "are you in the 20-29 group?" I nearly said yes, then realised I am now in the 30-39  :x  :x .

Will keep you posted when EC will be.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS MOLLY!!

I hope you are having a great day despite the horrible reminder from the skincare products mailing list. Your scan results are a wonderful birthday present, that is fantastic news. I hope you have had the call and are set to go on Thursday....it seems to have come around so quickly although it probably seems like an age to you.

Enjoy the rest of your special day....are you doing something special tonight?

Best wishes
Heather

Hi MissMolly,

Wow, you have so many follicles, lucky girl!! Hope your having a happy birthday. I bet your getting excited about your ec. It sounds like we're going to be very close for sure. If everything goes well for me i'll be doing ec on Friday. The day after you.

I've also been sick the last couple days. Feeling very nauseous. Yesterday i was in alot of pain, felt like af was going to start but it didn't. I'm also hoping this is some kind of a good sign.

Awww Bel, that's really nice. I guess it would have been really emotional! In a wonderful way! The needles are going much easier, thanks. My dd is doing them now for me and doing great. :)

How are you doing Heather? Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday. Hope you got some nice relaxing in this weekend. When do you start your next cycle?

Hope everyone is happy and feeling great.

Hi all,
Paula, glad to hear that the needles are going well, that's great that your dad can do them for you!!..I remember feeling quite icky before egg pick up, really bloated and uncomfortable. I also remember feeling a bit nauseous, my doctor put it down to anxiety about the impending procedure and I was SUCH a worrywart she was probably right...

MissMolly and Paula, good luck for Friday, I have everything crossed for you both..

Annie and I are doing well, just the two of us home today, Johnie has Monday's off so we do the family thang..I really miss him on Tuesdays..

Take good care all
