Hi, girls :) Sorry I have been gone for several days. I went to NY city for a few days for a short vaca with my DH and his family. Sounds like everyone is doing well! I have to say the hardest part was being in the city at all of these trendy bars and not being able to partake in the spirits  Sad, but true :)

I started stimms and antibiotics on Friday, August 26th...I saw a couple lists with me as a question mark...so I thought I would fill you in :) Had blood drawn today and will find out how my dose is going. Been reading some of the cycles we are on and they all sound very different. I started taking Lupron on August 11th, started the Gonal F on August 26th and decreased the lupron dose by half, Gonal F will slowly decrease and then will be given HCG shot two days prior to retrieval, progesterone shots, medrol, and antibiotics start day of retrieval, and then I wait...

Lisa - glad to hear you're doing better with the Lupron. I get the hotflashes occasionally, definitely get moody, but my biggest problem is the headaches it gives me...pounding! Luckily since my dose has decreased it is better :)

Paula - so glad to hear you're able to move forward :D

AJ - I often feel the way you do about the "poor DH" bit...I like to tell myself it is because I am a strong person and they don't worry about me in the say way...could be a bunch of BS, but it's how I deal. As long as DH is appreciative of what you both are going through, then you are in great shape!

Loopy Loo & NES - welcome!

Yes! This post is really wide all of a sudden...does anyone know how to fix this? Is it a setting on my computer?

Hi there everyone.

Colleen thanks for adding the new names, I know what you mean about making the most before the mood swings start. We did the same, a very special meal out, DD at MIL's for the night.....now the meds have begun. Too early for my first Anger Management (as DF calls them) incident but I doubt it will be long....

We've got a good crowd already. Any more names/updates? if so, cut and paste the list below into your reply, then add your dates/changes.

Hiya tibbie, how was your et? Glad you found the site and for sure it will give you lots of support. The ladies here are absolutely wonderful. Internet angels. Loads of baby dust for you for a bfp. There's a 2ww thread here somewhere, you should probably go in there for sept if you haven't already. If everything goes well for me and dh we'll be on our 2ww soon. Hoping for an et date of Sept 5th. Well, take care, welcome again and look forward to chatting with you.

Randa, that's fantastic...less time to worry and wait. I assume you're on a short protocol which only lasts 2 weeks then???

Tibbie, Hi and welcome. There are others on their 2ww chatting on a September 2ww thread, it helps enormously to share the waiting time, which goes so s-l-o-w-l-y...

Had my first evening of zero tolerance last night, poor DF, it's only Day 3...

My entire tmt lasts about 1 month...approx. 2 weeks lupron, 2 weeks Gonal F, and then the HCG just before transfer. I guess they try to make it as natural as possible. All I know is that my ovaries are getting big and fat already...feeling a little uncomfortable. I will go tomorrow for my first scan and will see how things are going.

Talk about hormones and zero tolerance...when I was in NY this past weekend we visited Chinatown. I wanted to punch everyone that got in my face trying to sell me a "Rolex" or a "Prada" purse. My DH didn't know what to do...just kept saying, "You're doing great, Honey." Afterwards, when I was much calmer, he did admit that I was being a little bit of a freak. I am usually the laid back one...not this time

All this talk of acupuncture, I have made an appointment for Thursday to see an acupuncturist. Any advice or thoughts from you that have done acupuncture?

Good luck, Tibbie on you 2ww!

Hi my fellow septembies!!! :D

Hope we are all doing really well and gearing ourselves up for the load of BFP's we are expecting.

Welcome to all the new ladies, sorry i cant name you personally, but my memory is rubbish.

Paula - hello dear, how are you doing? Not long left for your injections now, i can hear you give a hugh sigh of relief  . have you got a date for EC yet?

randarandolph - Great news about EC being moved forward (normally the other way around), cant wait to read about your bumper group of embies. Wishing you all the best.

Round 2 - Hope the 9/12 is a day where dreams come true for you.

Lisa - sorry i cant offer any advice on the insulin levels, hopefully the stimms will be fine and insulin wont affect it. Let us know how it goes.

DebraP- Hope the meds are still being kind to you and DF.

Crasmus - Hope you enjoyed your break, and DH enjoyed the unhormonal you

AJ- How are things going? and sorry to hear about sil,

brs888 - Well done on resisting temptation (alcohol), glad you managed to enjoy your break anyway. Hope your follies are progressing nicely.

Me - I have got my 3rd baseline scan booked for 6th Sept 10.30am so should finally know if i can move on to stimms. I must say although the needles only occassionally hurt i am getting fed up of them, its now 6 weeks and im still DR, but am remaining hopeful that the tablets they gave me have done the trick. I go back to school monday, so much for this cycle being completed during the hols

Must go as many things to do, house is a mess,

take care

Love sue e xx

Hi Ladies

My first post was on Friday, but I have been away for long weekend. Now on day 6 of sniffing the down reg drugs. No obvious side effects -- I hope I am doing it right!!

Thanks Debra for your thoughts on reflexology. Will continue with a couple more sessions. Hope you are going well with your down reg.

Best of luck Lisa with the stims on Friday, and hope that the insulin levels are okay.

Really sympathise with those who have sisters or sisters-in-law who are pregnant at the drop of a hat --- I have a total of five sisters/sisters-in-law and they are all firing on all cylinders!!!
:x

Good luck to everyone. And lots of PMA!

Egg Collection

Post by Tilly »

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all doing well.

I went for my second scan today to see how I have reacted to the stim. injections (menopur). I have approx. 6 mature follicles with quite a few smaller ones (a big relief). The hospital said this is about average and I am booked in for my egg collection on Thursday morning.

I am looking forward to this but a little apprehensive at the same time. Hear praying for loads of healthy eggs. :) :) :)

Morning ladies,

Ooooooooooooooo things are getting exciting in Septembies :)

Good luck in your et tomorrow Tilly. Will be praying for all healthy eggs for you!!!

Lucky you to have no symptoms Judy, don't worry about not doing it right. I don't think everyone gets symptoms.

You make me laugh Coleen, "follicle fairy" that's so cute :) How are you doing?? Thanks for thinking of me for today.

Sue, I really hope those tablets work for you. I think i'd rather be on these injections than to have to wait that long  It must be very hard!! I'm thinking of you and hoping your almost there

Randa, that's so fantastic that your tmt got moved up. Wooo hooo, you must be excited!!

Debra, you made me laugh as well. Your first zero tolerance night  You girls are so good for me. You make me feel normal!!! :)

Hope everyone else is doing great. Sorry if I missed someone but I have to run. I need to be at the hospital for my scan this morning. Praying my little follies are all growing and that my estrogen matches my follies.
I have to work today as well and depending on how long I am at the hospital I might not get a chance to come and tell you how it went until tonight.

Ok, so have a wonderful day everyone.
