Well, I woke up on New Year's Day and felt extremely sick! And it definitely wasn't the alcohol this year!!

Have been feeling nauseaous since then - it usually goes in waves. Find that I can't even clean my teeth properly as I start gagging!

I have tried nibbling ginger biscuits, plain biscuits etc - sometimes it works and other times not. Wasn't actually sick until this morning - first day back at work and I felt horrendous. How am i going to teach a class of 11 year olds tomorrow morning I don't know!

Anyway, just want to know if there is anything else I can do to ease it - can't face bananas anymore, or the smell of coffee and even chocolate! Sorry about teh moan - just fed up of laid on the sofa moaning!! By the way - I go for a 7 week scan on Thursday.

Take care everyone out there.

Michelle
Michelle,

You might want to post this on the succesful after treatment board as they usually have someone in the same boat. I can suggest the Seasickness bands you wear on your wrist. My friend recommended them to me too late as I was past that phase but they did help her. Also I stopped wearing anything perfumed as that seemed to set me off, as well as the smell of oranges, cleaning fluid, air freshner....basically anything. DO you suspect twins? as I had the bad quesiness from end of week 5 and they say the earlier the symptoms start the more likliehood there is of multiples......anyway there are a few about your stage on the other board so it is worth a try.

My twins are now 8 months old.....and it more than makes up for all those months of sickness, tiredness, swollen bits etc.etc.etc.

Take care
Nicky
hello michelle,

i was like you for 5wks.i found nutragrain bars helped me ! i went of tea and drunk hot chocolate at night.

are you still drinking water?

remember it wont last forever.

good luck
beck xx
Michelle
Am right there with you...morning , noon and night sickness. I'm finding stodgy/carbohydrate type foods are helping and I have got a life-times supply of fruit-gums, sucking on those seems to help.

Am not complaining though, the days I wake-up and don't feel too sick I worry - so roll-on nausea :0)
Happy heaving !!
Terri
xxxxx
