Thanks for the list, Debra. Sorry to be so remedial  But, I know you and you're as patient as they come.

Oh, I absolutely agree! What a healthier way to eat than what I normally eat! Can only do good things. We drove through a downtown area today and the smell of different foods was in the air. When that greasy, fried-in-animal-fat smell hit my nose (probably french fries) it smelled strange to me. It smelled foreign already and it actually was kinda heavy. My first thought was not a positive one.

Seriously thinking about dropping fried foods completely from my diet going forward. Not like I ate it every day before, but I didn't FEAR it like I do now.

Sandra,
We're going to Cuba this fall for sure! We are waiting for their baseball season to begin in November! Would love a short list of "must dos and must sees" from you when you have time.

Hi Tracii, Eskavon, Jen and BigJ! Hope you're feeling healthy! I am! Time for my 6 p.m. workout.

I totally agree with Debrea regarding the success of our detox..even if we give up one thing which we thought we could live without...then it is a definite success. :D :D :D Also think more than anything, it teaches us how to eat and to remember the fresh stuff...which is so easy to do in the world of convenience we live in. The food we are eating now tastes so much better then packaged stuff and it doesn't mean we have to give up things totally...for instance in my other liver book they actually recommend (after a specific amount of time) 2 glasses of red wine per night (max) due to the OPCs (which are these good things helping our blood)...(white wine does not have OPCs)....also we can make stuff like mayo instead of buying it and it is so much healthier for you!!

If you are interested the book is The Liver Detox Plan by Xandria Williams...it includes lots of great, easy recipes...but be warned it gets very medical..my eyes started to glaze over reading and her plan is 6 weeks....not ready for that.

Today I will have melon for breakfast, veggies for lunch and dinner I am not sure about..more veggies. The hummus I made yesterday is delicious!! And so easy..I also loaded it with lots of parsley and ate it on rocket for lunch and with carrots as a snack.

Here is to our healthy insides and our glowing skin!!! :D :D :D

Hello Day 5 :D Going well still, I didn't really stick too hard to the tough list yesterday as DF is at home but still ate super healthily from the 2 lists.

B'fast - spelt flakes (yawn) + rice milk, apple juice, peppermint tea
Lunch - HUGE bowl of red lentil, mushroom soup with brown lentils thrown in too.
Dinner - poached salmon + lemon juice, , oven roasted: fennel, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, red pepper, garlic cloves + steamed mange tout/sugar snap peas.
Snack: organic yoghurt with seeds + some dates.

So far today:
B'fast - whole oats (soaked overnight in rice milk) made into porrage with raisins, apple juice, peppermint tea.

Off swimming shortly and then to work....

Well done Traci on the hummous, I've avoided making it as I'd want toast or something carb-ish to have with. It is lovely though....

Hope everyone is feeling cleansed? I certainly feel zippy and positive.

Debra.

I too do not stick to the one strict list but ate also super healthy from both lists so I don't feel guilty..today muesli and rice milk, lunch red lentils 'soup' made with lots of garlic, onions, parsley, fresh ginger, coriander, and tumeric...very tasty in fact I ate 2 huge bowls and I now feel so bloated...I wish someone would stick me with a pin  . I don't think I can eat much for dinner..maybe just some melon...if I don't eat anything then I will get hungry later in the night and that is when it gets dangerous.

Feeling really good with lots of energy...although I did take a nap in the sunshine today . 8) 8) 8)

Hi Gang,

TOUGH last 2 days!!! The diet was so limited that I found myself just not eating. Finally having some white meat today was heaven! I too feel bloated a lot and I've gained a half a pound. (All the fruit juice and fruit - lots of calories)

I'm not giving up though. Just not as happy about all this as I was the first two days (natural).

I know it's good for me and by day 7, I'm sure I'll be feeling detoxed.

Helps to read what you guys are doing and helps knowing I'm not going through this alone.

Randa - I found the last time I did this I did not lose any weight during the 7 days but the week following I lost about 2 kg and kept losing...I actually fit in my 'skinny' jeans now...so don't lose hope and remember what it is doing for your insides :D

How is everyone else? 8)

Debra and Randa..you are done after today :D :D :D :D :D I hope you feel some positive impacts from the detox. I am doing the 10 day so I have a couple of more days left. Went to dinner tonight with my in-laws and was very good...white fish (zander in german I don't know what that is in english), lentil beans and boiled potatoes....they most have known I was coming to put this on the menu.

I am still bloated...beans and cabbage...geez thank goodness DH is not around to enjoy the after burn  ...but poor dogs  . Feeling a little tired today or shall we say 'blah'...could be the diet or PMS  or both.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Debra - meant to ask...how much Synarela are you doing?? My doc has doubled my dosage due to Oing early last time...so I will have 4 sniffs per day. I did not have much impact last time - DH rather enjoyed my attitude but I am thinking this time around may be different with double :?: :?:

Traci, given I'm enjoying it more than I thought, I'll carry on for another 3 days too. DF is back at work tomorrow so it will get easier. I've just finished salmon, brown rice and broccoli....yum.

Not expecting to lose any weight, my quantities are too large and rice is a killer for the cals. Although I'd love to drop my extra 3kgs. Randa, half a pound is an extra large lungful of air isn't it  ? I swam my 40 lengths again yesterday and will try for tomorrow. This week is tricky due to the rebuilding work DF is doing and wants help with. I don't feel I can swan off to the pool whilst he's working so hard. Next week though is a different matter, back to swimming every day if I can.

After the first few days my digestion problems stopped. I didn't eat any more cabbage which might have helped.

Re. Synarela. I have 3 sniffs a day and always have done. 8 hours apart which makes for long days - I do 0800, 1600 and 2400, luckily that suits our lifestyle pretty well. What is your regime? Remind me what was your attitude like last time, mine was horrendous  AF is definitely on her way which means the cycle is still on track....yipee. Feeling good......

Hi Randa, how are you doing?

Where is everyone else? all you healthy eaters and those keeping an eye on what we eat etc.

hugs
Debra.

Hi All...absolutely gorgeous weather in Munich today...unfortunately am driving back to Vienna but atleast it is not pouring down rain for the drive. Just ate some muesli and rice milk..to be honest the rice milk is kinda growing on me...

Debra - Last IVf I did 2 sniffs per day, one in the AM and in in the PM. This time I have to do 2 sniffs in AM (one per nostril) and 2 sniffs in PM. Last time I was very mellow..normally I need a schedule, timeframe..for everything..but during the sniffing I was like 'whatever' and very laid back  so DH thought I should sniff all the time :D ...but with the double dosage I am afraid it will push me over the edge. Last time no headaches, no hot flashes, a little sleepy (but that could have been from work). Should be interesting.

Randa - How are you doing? What does your protocol look like? I can't believe you will have EC in 2 weeks! WOW!

Hope everyone else is doing and feeling well!!

Yes wonderful weather here today too. Just today mind you, yesterday wasn't good and tomorrow yet more rain....it's rained SO much in the past month. I don't really mind, Norway currently has oil and gas making it rich. In the not-too-distant future, it will be water keeping it rich. The scarcity of rain and sufficient quantities of water in so much of the developed (to say nothing of the developing) world scares the cr*p out of me. I'm staying put!

Back to detoxing. Today went well but I can tell I'm itching for a cup of tea, desperate to drink a glass of milk again too and those wholemeal banana + walnut muffins I made for visitors yesterday are calling my name.......I might stop tonight. 8 days, very nice thank you. Traci, this was a great idea :)

Swam my 1km again today, I'll be glad to start pushing up the numbers as soon as the detox has finished.

How's everyone else doing? Bit quiet on here, did we scare everyone away with our rabid detox??

Debra - 8 days is awesome!! I figure it is better to eat something if your body is craving it..otherwise if you deprive it then you make overindulge. Off to the market...we have no food in Vienna...last night ate eggs and spinach with tomatoes...pretty good but I am craving some fruit..crazy..I never crave fruit.

I may stop tomorrow as well...DH has been very supportive but I need some pasta..we will see what our plans are for tomorrow.

The weather is nice here in Vienna...supposed to be 30 today...a real killer on the dogs...to be honest I am looking forward to autumn.

How is everyone?? Where are you all???

Hi Guys...I am back...

First of all let me say WELL DONE Debra, Tracii, Eskavon, Randa,
for keeping the detox going...I have just read a few posts( soooo much to catch up on) but you have done so well.

I was a good girl until tuesday when I had some dairy ( ice cream) then blew it by having choclate and rice pudding later. Since then i have been madly craving and eating the odd choc bar ( no wheat) something I never do. So since thursday I have been taking probiotics to cut the sugar cravings... It's helping... So am back on detox for another 7 days!!!

Will catch you all later as I gotta rush to hosp appointment for blood check
love

Jeni, enjoy the detox when you start. I really liked it and felt empowered, full of life, zing zing zing etc.....

Today I fell flat on my face though. I had a violent stomach upset just after I started teaching (great) and had to go home :( I really don't think it had anything to do with what I ate (salmon + peas for dinner, apple, dates and nuts as a snack later, oat porrage for breakfast today). Anyway, I was ready to stop and so have loved eating dry toast and even just allowed myself a cup of tea....sooooooooooo good! At least I'll appreciate my food more :) Oh and I'd say I lost 1kg on the detox, the quantities are too big to lose any more but I didn't eat all my usual nonsense which helped a lot :)

Traci, have you sold the house yet? will you have to continue rushing between the 2 countries for long? are you having the new tmt in Germany or Austria?

Randa, how was coming off the detox for you?

Eskavon, how are you doing?

Hi to anyone else eating healthily...
