Hi everyone, mind if I join you in your october buddies thread? Seems like I will be half and half with september and october members...

Considering I was SUPPOSED to start my first IVF cycle at the begining of August, I had to wait ages for my af to make an appearance, so I finally managed to start my injections yesterday (28th), :P which if everything goes according to plan, should mean that my 2ww will hopefully be during the first few weeks of october   :D

It will be dp's birthday then, so maybe if we get a +ve, then it will save me money on the birthday present!!!

Hey guys.

I'm going to join this thread too. Like Nicki, I just had a BFN, so back in focus for an Oct. cycle, with hopefully good news for Christmas. I've been exploring the Fertility Awareness Method, and think I'm going to start temping next month to get more control of my own fertility.

This month, I'm going to be a little bad, then very good next month.

Glad to be cycling with such great girls.

I will also be joining you in October. Start DR end of September with EC around 18 October.

Denise - I use FAM and found it VERY helpful...it is amazing what you will learn about your body. I also use www.fertilityfriend.com for my charts...also extremly helpful.

Here is to an October harvest and (imp)planting!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all going ok. I've started my first cycle and I'm trying to remain positive... but My jabs are starting to hurt  . I'm such a baby!!! I have taken 6 shots, and I'm hoping that I will be a dab hand soon, but I think that i am reacting to the medications  . I keep itching... great...

I got my notice from the hospital...

My EC is planned for Thursday 29th September 2005...
    :D :D :D

I'm not sure about the ET... I guess it will be either Saturday 1st October ... Do they do ET on saturdays? ... if not I guess it will be around Monday 3rd October... ....

Things seems to be moving quick now, after so long that they just weren't moving at all... I was a bit petrified when learned how to do my injections.... had to wait ages for af so I could start.... now.... I'm just feeling really positive that all this hard work will be positive and will work first time... I'm started to feel well excited :!: ... Hope it's not too early to start with the positive vibes and excitement.... wouldn't want to tempt fate, but i just have this feeling that 'alls well that will end well.... '

I just want my bump!!!! been waiting so long.... and I'm nearly there....

I haven't even thought about what would happen if it doesn't work, my brain won't let me think that far ahead... The thought of my previous loss is too much to think about at the best of times... but right now, I am convinced that the treatment will work... Is that a bad thing??? Am I being unrealistic?

Nes,
Things are finally moving for you..
I dont think ET depends on the day of the week, more on how well the embies have fertilised and grown, so wishing you lots and lots of luck for Oct! Keep up the PMA!
It always helps to be positive :D
Lumi,
I hope Af has been and gone by now, though I guess it'd have spoiled your bday fun with dh
When do u start?
Sand,
Are you going to be an October buddy??
What did your clinic say?
Nicki and denise,
When'll u start?
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!

Hugs,
smita

hi guys.. i'd like to join the oct buddy's too. :)

I hope to do FET in oct.. my dr said to wait out this AF and the next, then we can put my embies back in.. where they belong. :) I don't know my dates yet tho.. it depends on the next af.

It was a rough last week.. i didn't even talk to my RE personally coz i knew hearing his voice would set me off so DH called and told him. But that was last week... this week i'm back again full of PMA. Hey it's the 1st of sept.. just one more month to go, right? :)

Hopefully, it'll be our turn to get BFP's!!

Nes, congrats you've got yr dates!! Nicky, lumi, denise... when do u start, do u know?

love to all,
quasi xx

Hi Girls
Supposed to be going for my first acupuncture appointment on Monday but I am very nervous and wondering if it is worth paying out for. Wondering if I am going over board in prep for ivf. Any thoughts you have on all this would be appreciated.
Thanks xxxxxx

Leigh, See how it goes and what the acu doc says but it can't hurt and I started acu because I wanted to try absolutely everything possible to make sure I get a positive and not say 'oh I wish I would have....'..to be honest I haven't felt so healthy in a long time...eating extremely well (in fact winding down the detox diet), exercising, limiting 2 glasses of per night (if I drink at all), vitamins, fresh air....and lots of PMA.

Let us know how it goes with acu :D

Hi Ladies

Don't think I'll be joining you for October as we have just had our blood tests done at the doc and need them back before I make appt with the hospital. Also we are due (fingers crossed) to be moving house at the end Sept so want to get all that out of the way first. Hopefully will be in the November buddies group - will have to wait and see.

Leigh, I also had my first treatment of acupuncture yesterday and it was fine. I'm going to keep it up in the hopes that it helps. I agree with Tracii - my last attempt at IVF I wished I had tried acupuncture. I'm also gearing myself up to join a gym in an effort to lose the weight I've put on in the past year!

Good luck to you all.
