I had severe OHSS so i want to try and get back to being healthy before trying again, but im also desperate to get started. Roll on Christmas

Hi guys,

First of all welcome to the newbies this month.For you and all the regulars a big Limbo Hug to you all.
I am back from my week away... had a fun time lots of good weather and can't believe it's 12 days until my month long trip through Europe...thats some good news before the bad news....

I went for blood tests (to check on my bodies return to normal) after last cancelled cycle and it's NOT very promising.
MY FSH is 45!! TOOO HIGH my E2 is 20 TOOO low.Docs think I am at 38yrs going into menapause...I can't believe it ....I was natuarally pregnant this time last year!

But as I havent had a period and the bloods were not taken at day 2-5
who can say...I just have to wait.I get blood tests next week then in 4 weeks...Worst part is the hot flushes are here to stay unless i take HRT. If i do take it i may have to wait another 8 weeks to get a correct blood result...so at moment I am taking each day and coping the best I can without the hrt.

If results next week are the same they presume that my certrotide cycle in Nov will be cancelled...and probably be taken off the NHS list in OCt if no change for the better. I AM numb and in shock...but know that I have to wait for my own level to regulate for better or worse.

Sorry to hear about your hormone levels,I hope you get a period soon and can test on the right day, Surely it is too early to say they wont come down especially as they are affected by stress. Good luck for you next tests.

Hi Limboers

How was you weekend. We had great weather up here in sunny Scotland, but spent all weekend knocking down an outside staircase. Anyway i had good news today, as i got a cancellation to see the consultant on wednesday, which came out of the blue. I am glad it is this week, but also a little scared as to what she is going to say about the wait for IVF. I am going away to write a list of questions that remain unanswered, as i know i will forget as soon as i walk in the room.

Nicki - thinking about you hope you are ok. You know we are here if you need us.

Hope this month is a better one for all of us

My mind always goes blank when I go for my appointments, I think of loads of questions to ask and then the minute I sit in the room ive forgotten them all

I write them down now as well.

I'm hope you dont mind me joining you, DH and i recently decided to try again so we are now waiting for first appiontment. i keep mobbing the poor postman every day. Im also driving DH up the wall with diet changes and the like

. can anyone recommend an acupuncturist in cornwall?
