Good evening ladies,

Just signing in to say, will chat later - having dinner/supper at this rate and then will catch up with you all. I love this site. I don't post every day and I am tending to stick to this thread this time around as it gets complicated trying to keep up with all the other threads (hope that doesn't sound too selfish) but look forward to chatting later.

Love to you all

Hi girls, back again.

Kat, all the very best for your appt. tomorrow. Fingers and everything crossed for you. What will happen at this consultation? Keep us posted.

Paula, lost a few days, I think - just realised you had your scan on Tuesday. Is it good news? I really hope so and pray that those follicles have come on leaps and bounds. Perhaps you have posted on another thread. Will take a peak but let us all know here how it went.

Randa, how exciting - so you'll be aiming for EC in just over 2 weeks? Fantastic. It would have been so exciting if you were going for a fresh transfer. Something tells me you would get lucky. I don't know why but that's just a feeling I have but still, those frosties are piling up now and you'll have plenty in reserve. Hugs and good luck.

Debra, happy downregging days!! I too am just waiting for AF now. She seems to be hanging around and sure to come by in next day or so. Still, one more thing to cross off the countdown list!

Jane, When is your appt for your FSH test? Lots of PMA now - we are all praying that you will get a good result. I really could give you a big hug because whenever I read your posts I, and I am sure all these ladies agree, we really do understand how you feel - tears are so necessary some of the time to move on to the next stage. Now you have another goal to aim for with your test coming up. Be strong and positive and lets hope you get the result you want. x

To all the other ladies that I have missed, hi and hope you are all well this week.

Hugs

Hi there, been feeling a bit 'bleugh' today, actually had to cancel a class after 30mins and go home. Turned out only to be a rather violent stomach upset but coupled with hot flushes had me very unhappy for a while.

So....looks like the hot flushes have begun:( Today is Day 6 of down regging. Next Friday we go for our next scan, fingers crossed all will be well.

Paula, what a crappy week for you. I'm glad to see you're ready to face trying again later. Demand some answers or at least straight talking, it seems so confusing to have follies but such low oestrogen. Sorry DH isn't there to help get through the disappointment.

Kat, what happened at the apt?

Jane, how are you doing? when's your next apt?

Randa, do you feel ready? not long now....:)

Sharon, did AF show yet? I'm seeing the start but it will be another few days yet, August's AF started on 8th so the clinic want to see me if Sept's is later than 7th, fairly sure it won't be.

Lynn??? ciao bella (when you're back of course.....)

Geeno, if you've found us here, welcome!

BigJ, hellooooooooo! still around????

If I've missed someone off....forgive me and blame the hot flushes....
Debra.

I hope it's less rainy where you are...
Debra.

Debra,

No AF hasn't shown yet but I know she's around the corner - me too having yuck day today only because AF is hanging around/sicky/snappy self today. Hopefully all will be right in next day or so and we can move on to the next stage. I don't feel any different with downregging at all this time with no hot flushes or sweats.

Paula, I have missed your latest post - sounds like it wasn't the news you wanted. I will have a read through the threads and update myself. Obviously there's disappointment - I will post to you again once I have caught up. x

Hope all you other ladies are well.

Hello All,
Just catching up with all of the posts after being away for a few days (for pleasure) then being away for another couple of days (for work).
Things are still going ok with me. My tummy is already begining to stick out - not sure if it is due to the baby or bloating (lovely early pg symptoms of bloating, constipation!!). Begining to think it really could be twins though!! I'm quite a petite person so it looks as if this preganancy is going to show really early. I'm feeling a bit queezy in the evenings and am really tired by about 10pm so am usually in bed early. Other than that nothing really to report. DH is now fretting about the scan - he's still convinced things are going to go wrong.
Things seem to be ticking along for most of you. I'm going to keep popping in here as you've all be so great. I just wish you all the success you want and will send you loads of babydust.

Love
Debbie

Well, we are back from Barcelona! Everyone there was lovely (BigJ if you're reading this, Lurdana says hello) and they will find us a donor in the next 5-6 weeks!
Nothing is ever straightforward though of course, DH did his sample to be frozen for when they get the donor ready and for some reason there was virtually no sperm at all. They think probably some kind of infection as has always had an OK level of sperm before and he only did a test a couple of weeks ago and that was OK so to have dropped to nothing in 2 weeks seems a one-off, not something to worry about. Logistically it makes next time more complicated as he will need to go there to provide a fresh sample rather than using frozen so will need to be there more in advance which means shorter notice etc but we'll deal with that nearer the time. They are testing his sample for infection and will let us know, they seemed to think there wouldn't be a problem though.
On the posiitive side it's obviously much better to find out now and not find out that infection could have been the reason for a negative further down the line. I came away clutching a selection of different types of medication to start when af next comes...
Apart from that, we did a lot of walking (v hot) and went to the beach and ate lots of fish.
Sorry for long post - still feeling positive, only minor hurdles to get over now (and I have a conference 11-12 Oct which could fall right at the wrong time, I have told them I def can't come on those days so they will work round them but would be nice not to add that to the stress...)

pma pma pma......

Debbie, great to see you are starting to develop some symptoms - all good signs. Take care and wishing you all the best for your scan (is it on the 8th Sept if I remember?).

Kat, sounds like things will be kicking off for you in the next month or so. I am sure DH's fresh sample will be just fine come the time. I know what you mean when 'other' commitments get in the way of treatment it can add to the stress. Sounds like you have it all under control though. Nice trip too, Barcelona. Never been to the city but would like to go one day. Keep us posted now.

Hi there, here's my 2000th post and I wanted it to be here!

Debbie, let's hope it's the baby making its presence felt, getting bigger was always so reassuring for me. I really enjoyed looking pregnant vs. is-she-isn't-she? Re. the constipation, try drinking an extra half litre of water OR being super vigilent about having your 5 peices of fruit and veg each day.

Kat, good luck with getting the tests sorted. I hope it was something temporary, like you said, good thing it turned up now vs. later. Glad to hear you liked the people and clinic.

Sharon, my AF will arrive properly today I think, hope everything goes to plan for you too. No more hot flushes since Friday but am warmer at night for sure.

Hi everyone else....how are you doing?

Hi everyone. Been meaning to post on this thread for ages, but everytime I start, the phone rings or dinner's ready or something and I never get back to it. So apologies if I don't name check everyone, but I thought I'd just get it down now before something else happens! Glad to hear that things are going well for people though, specially Debbie - you must be so thrilled.

We had our follow up consultation at the clinic on Thurs after our failed cycle in June/July. Bit of an anti-climax really as there wasn't a lot to say, other than the cycle went very well, there's nothing they could have done differently, it's just one of those things. We did get it confirmed that I can do a completely unmedicated FET cycle, which I'm really pleased about. Now that DH has come round to the idea, it gives us something to focus on.

Now all we need to think about is the timing. Can't do this month as we're off on holiday in a few weeks, so Oct or Nov. My acupuncturist suggested a 6 week preparation period of acupuncture, herbs, vit supplements, no alcohol, etc. So if we went for Oct I'd have to start now and I don't know if I fancy an wine free holiday in France! Plus I'm really busy with work so wouldn't have time for the acupuncture sessions. I think I'll start with a clean slate when we get back from our hols and go for mid Nov. Bit early for November buddies, but I'm sure it won't be long!

Caroline,

Lovely to see you back. Fantastic too that you can go for an unmedicated FET cycle. We had no choice with our hospital but to down reg and then I have to start HRT tablets in a couple of weeks!! Given the choice I would have much preferred to have gone down the natural route but that's how it is. Our consultation was pretty much the same as yours. We are none the wiser as to why these things don't work out. They could only say that when implantation does not occur, it could be a sign of possibly a chromosonal (spelling?) deficiency in the genetic make up and it's nature's way of rejection and I guess in a way, better that way, although it doesn't make it any easier, does it? Unfortunately, this part of the fertility research is still in its infancy and they still don't have the complete answer. Anyway, routing for you all the way this time. Have a great holiday and enjoy your wine while you can. :D :D

DebraP, Sharon, Caroline (cmg) and Kat

I wish you all the very best of luck with your up coming cycles - our 4th attempt was also to be our last - miracles DO happen - think positive.

Debbie

Tired, bloated, queezy - glad to see you are getting all the 'feel good factors' of pregnancy. I bet you cant wait for the indigestion, then you will know about discomfort!

Life is good at 27 weeks - baby is moving loads, especially at 5.00am (hence this post)! Everything expanding beyond belief and walking is my only exercise but I cant talk to DH at the same time - my lung capacity just cant cope!

My thoughts and prays are with you all everyday and may a blanket of baby dust cover you all.

CarolineP,

You certainly are my inspiration right now - I remember back in April when I was cycling and reading your success story. Yes, of course miracles happen - they have happened and that's why we keep going. Thank you for posting to us ladies. Happy pregnancy days!! :D :D

Sharon, I agree, it's lovely to read of CarolineP's fabulous pregnancy. Keep the good news coming please Caroline!

Caroline (cmg), enjoying the holiday and not being worried about work's impact is so much better than trying to combine it all. Roll on November, like you say, it's not long and I bet there's a Nov. thread just itching to get started.

Sharon, how are you? feeling positive? meds going OK? I was very positive all through my last cycle (albeit super stressed with the house move) and it was great to feel so 'up' all the time. I'm trying for that again. AF started properly today, bang on schedule, should be finished by Friday and the scan. Is your clinic one that calls you in constantly for tests? mine's not, they only see me for Day 3 blood test, baseline scan, DR+13 bloodtest and scan, final scan then EC and ET.

Randa, everything OK? you've gone very, very quiet. Did you start the meds?

Jane, how are you?

Hoping all is well with everyone,
Debra

Hi Debra,

Spoke too soon about not getting the flushes, sweats and headaches. Had the most awful day yesterday. AF arrived a few days ago with a vengeance. And, I don't know whether it had something to do with the weather as it was really thundery and heavy yesterday but I had the most unbelievable migraine. I actually slept for 3 hours in the middle of the day. It knocked me out. But I'm fine today and AF should be gone by tomorrow/Wednesday. I have very little contact with the clinic this time around. I have a baseline scan on Wed 14th Sept when, all being well I will start on my HRT tablets. I will take those for approx. 2 weeks and then go back for another scan to check the thickening of the uterine lining and possibly one more scan before the procedure.

It's lovely to sense your positivity - and so you should feel that way - you know this can really work - you have your DD as prove of that. It's stories like yours and Caroline's and others like you that give us girls hope. Hugs x

Hi Randa - how are you doing? Have you started your treatment cycle yet?

Jane, have you had a date yet for your FSH test? Keep us posted.

Hope everyone else is doing ok at the moment.

Hi Ladies,

Sorry i haven't had chance to get on and post recently. I think I am keeping myself busy. Life is good at the moment, I seem very calm and accepting of everything at the moment, so hopefully i can keep it up. Won't get my FSH done until AF shows up which should be sometime next week, hopefully it will have come down but if not we'll wait another month and then just take it a month at a time. I've been trying to eat healthy followed the Zita diet but can't cut out the sweet things don't eat a lot but they are in there so hpoefully that will help. How is eveyone else doing? Anyone heard from Gailbunny she should be having her follow up appointment soon.

Love,

Jane
