Back after six months off!!

Post by Sammie »

Hi, after my two IVF attempts last year we have decided to give it another go! They are going to go with my natural cycle this time, rather than control it with drugs. Had my appointment with Dr Goswamy (Harley Street - have to go there as I have all my treatment done under GA) last week and will be starting the injections after next AF (23-01-03), so EC and ET are planned for first week in February! So if there is anyone else on the same time scales, can we go through this together?

Have kept an eye on all the postings and as ever there seems to be ups and downs, but most importantly I have always found this site to be a great help and I'm looking forward to making some new friends this year.
:) S
Hello Sammie

Just wanted to say hello and good luck with your next IVF cycle.

Also, just wanted to say that I'm with Mr Goswamy too and this he's excellent - what a lovely caring man.

You've probably seen my post about losing our baby, it was our second IVF attempt (FET) but we want to get straight back in there now and try again. Luckily we've got 8 frozen embryos still at the clinic so thankfully won't have to start from scratch.

Good luck anyway and keep us posted.

Love Sarah x

Hi Sammy,

I am also from Reading and am with Mr Goswamy and Anne. They are both lovely aren't they? I have had 2 attempts (the last attempt failed in June - got to the 2ww with a -ive ending) so am hoping to start again maybe Feb/March. As you said, alot of the appointments and scans can be done here in Reading until you start getting into it and then it seems every other day you have the London trip to deal with - but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end (and for you Sarah).

I noticed your email address - I work just behind Gillettes - probably even passed you - see us IVF'ers do look quite normal.

Good luck with your sniffing and hopefully I will be right behind you (with the treatment, not eyeballing you).

lisa xxx

Hi Lisa - and there was me thinking I am the only person in the whole world with all these problems!! Off to see Ann on Friday (Reading) to go through the course of treatment. I've never done sniffing, I've always had to inject, but as I mention in my first message, they are going with my natural cycle this time, because I responded better to FET than my first attempt, plus they are hoping for better egg quantity/quality!! Feeling okay - just want to get on with it!!
I think I am going to have to tell my boss this time as I had some time off last year and as I work for a guy, I just told him it was "girly stuff" and he did not want to know anymore details!!
Hopefully third time lucky for us both, so please keep in touch and over the next few weeks look out for a mad women around the Basingstoke Road area!!!
:)
Sx
