Thanks, I think I need it.
I have noticed that since I have been taking it, I have managed to stop getting as itchy as I did, but I keep feeling all strange...

One minute I feel really hot and sweaty, like I'm getting a hot flush, then I feel queasy and light headed, like I need to be sick. I am really grouchy all the time and I'm so tired that all I want to do is sleep; :? :(

At the begining of last week, I just kept feeling really super sensitive and emotional, and had so many silly conversations with my dp about God knows what, buecause I was in such a rubbish mood, and felt like he was being funny on purpose... :x ...

It wouldn't be so bad if I knew for definate that I was just feeling funny because of the medication, but I don't... I'm only two weeks into it.... I'm hoping that i can go another 3 weeks without any major freak outs!

I bet my dp is feeling the same!!!

Hi Elle, you don't need to ask to join....just come on in!! Good luck with your appointment on Wednesday.

I agree Leigh, it is a nice rainbow and they are a real pain to change. We might even get you into the Guiness Book of World Records if you leave it for a bit longer.

Sandra, when is your appointment? How exciting, a new clinic. I really hope this clinic works out for you and is able to provide the service that you deserve. Thanks for your wishes, I am feeling positive this time around and I am really hoping it will be my last.

Lumi, a short protocol is one where you start downregging on CD4 and stimming on CD5. This lasts for about 12-13 days so the whole thing is over with in about 2 weeks. Yay. I am still doing the AF jig in your honor and trust me, it is not a pretty sight. DH, the dogs and the cats really hope she shows up for you sooner rather than later!

Nes, I don't think the drugs make me tired...could be all the stress associated with treatment. I know after treatment I feel like I could sleep for a month! Hope you are feeling a bit better, for both yours and DPs sake.

Love the attitude Traci...roll on O so you can get started!

Have a great week ladies. (Thank God I could edit that last bit out....bit embarrassing in light of our cricketers performance overnight!)

Cheers
Heather

Hello everyone... I am a newcomer to the site ;-)

I was wondering whether I could join as an October buddy?
I am scheduled to start my first IVF the first week of October and know that I will desperately need your support :-)
Apart from DH, I don't have anyone to share with.

I am not completely sure of all the abbreviations so please excuse my ignorance. Any chance there is a glossary somewhere? ;-)

Wishing you all heaps of luck

Rebecca

Thank you Smita for the tip about the abbreviations.... crumbs was lost there for a while... I'll gradually get the hang of it ;-)

Thank you Little P and Smita for your thoughts....I see that you are BOTH giving us hope :-) with your "+ve" results ;-)

Hi Little R - welcome! We all have a book which we recommend by Zita West called 'fertility and conception'..it discusses how to prepare, what to expect and the different stages..you might want to check out Amazon for a copy. Of course no question is a dumb question - so ask away!

just being a stickybeak here....

Nes, I have identical symptoms. I had a terrible first hot flush that sent me to the loo as I was convinced I was going to be sick. I've been exhausted for days, droppingly tired by 9pm despite only working p/time. My tmt has been delayed by a week due to my LH still being too high last Friday, so I have to DR for an extra week which I could live without, the hot flushes at night are something else again. I'm expecting EC/ET the week after you now.

Good luck all you lovely October buddies :D

hugs
Debra.

Hi Girls,

Just popping in to say hi. I really hope i'll be able to join you in this month but have to wait for some blood tests to know for sure. I got pregnant in October 16 years ago, so maybe this October thread will be my lucky month :D

Take care everyone, October's almost here.

Hello October buddies...

Thanks Traci...hope you're not too stressed with your visitors...
About Zita West's book, I have ordered it following your recommendation, but obviously have not been able to peruse or check contents.
I just wanted to know whether it gives you any concrete advice in terms of what you should and should not do before/during/ and after IVF treatment.
I am not sure to what extent you have to be careful after ET for example.

Wishing you all a great weekend :D

Thanks for being there
