PMA Tilly - remember those cramps could so easily be because it's worked.
Stay positive

Hi guys
Congrats Tilly - wishing you all the best for a wonderful pregnancy..
I had ET yesterday everything went well although a little sore.
My clinic will charge me for my test and say that a HPT is ok to do. I was sure that reading through some of message boards that this is not true and that a blood test is better. What would you suggest I do? Is it normal to charge for the pregnancy test?
I would hate to do a HPT and then it say it was positive when it wasn't.
Any suggestions?

Pootle, my clinic tell you to test at home (they recommend Clear Blue) and only come in for a blood test if you get a +ve. Provided you test on the day they tell you - and not early - then's there's no reason to doubt the accuracy of a good quality HPT. Testing too early can give you a false +ve if you had the large HCG injection before your EC, which is why you always test at least 14 days later.
Personally speaking there would be nothing worse for me than to go up to the hospital full of hope (or not) and wait all those hours for results, when I can do the HPT and get the agony over with quickly.
