Hi all,
Jeni so sorry you are having a bad day, it must be pmt coz you are usually the one cheering us all up. This might be a silly question but have you tried acupuncture or TCM herbs to get AF back.
I dont know much about it yet but from what i have read it is very successful for AF problems.
I have just been to see a TCM practitoner, she could almost tell me my life story from taking my pulse and looking at my tongue. I dont know if it will work but its having massive PMA effects already.
You could always do a hpt that normally gets AF to visit.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind my joining in. DH and I had a consult with my Dr. last night and decided to start IVF (we've had 3 failed IUI's with meds). We are starting as soon as possible!! We have a visit with the Dr in 4 days to sign all consents and get the ball rolling.

He did explain the process but of course I still have some questions and won't truly understand what I am embarking on until I am actually going through it. Any advice??

I hope all of you are doing well and the wait is almost over for all of us....

Hi Smita,

TCM is traditional chinese medicine, i went to see a practitioner yesterday, she was very good, gave me loads of herbs to take to help relieve PMT and AF pains. She also gave me some for DH to help his little swimmers. We try the herbs for 3 months, then add some acu.
I dont know if it will work but its helping improve my PMA already which is always a good thing.

 Hi all this will be my last post as we are off tomorrow on our hols...

1st of all thanks for the PMA support...yesterday was yeuk...Still feeling sick and crampy again but have mega hot sweats so have no idea what's going on hormonaly wise in my body.

Smita- thanks sweetie for all you do for us here on limbo. it's also great that you and indiana will do the odd post on the postive thoughts thread. A big thank you for that and your support.

Indiana- Thanks for your support. I have used acu on and off for 8 years ( I had endrometriosis) but also use cranial sacral therapy, homeopathy and kinesiology. I was diagnosed with M.S. ( multiple sclerosis) in April this year ( the docs think it was a trauma response to the 2 ectopics). At the moment I have been seeing physio, cranial, homeopathy and kinesiology. but if I have still not regulated with AF by the time I am home in Oct I will return to my valued Acu. I tried chinese herbs 12 years ago for bad excema but I found them too powerful for my body, homeopathy suites me better. I feel what ever you are drawn to is usually what you need. So go get what you need souonds like you are getting what you need with TCM. Good luck hope AF arrive soon.
 I laughed and laughed when you suggested an htp to bring it on.

Eskavon: thanks for your support. I had a better afternoon yesterday. It's pregnacy week on Home and Health tv channel. And the whole programme was a day of 'Test Tube Babies'. I cried and cried, some of it grief some of it joy for the mums and dads that made it. I think that helped. Also Adam who has always been dead against adoption is willing to think about the positives and negatives going for that compared with a 3 year wait on donor eggs. ( i will be 41 then). This is all an IF i don't regulate. Do you still ride other horses since Major has gone?
p.s. Have a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C holiday with DH. Do you start tmt as soon as you come back?

Jkos- good luck- i hope you'll be on EC/ET when I come home. Get Zita West's book Fertility and Conception from Amazon or some book shops have it. ISBN (book number) 0-7513-3865-6 phone up a book shop and quote that number and they can check stock etc. The book is one of the most easily explained ART bit will answere all your questions. It is the most popular and user friendly book ever! Also write down all the questions you want answered and go through them at your next appointment. The nurses are so glad to help. Good luck....

Hi to all in Limbo....LIMBO HUGS TO YOU ALL...See ya I come back 13th Oct but will prob catch up on the 14th after my next app at IVF clinic.

LOVE
Jen

Hey everyone,
very new to this. We (my husband) and I are playing the waiting game at the mo. I've just found out I've got PCOS and after a few more tests they have discovered more problems with us both :( So we have to wait for 3 weeks to see if test results change, and if not move into IVF. Still very much in shock from all this news over the past week.

Nice to find a website with lots of info and positive stories to read about.
Me 24 DH 24 - me PCOS and more complications

Hi all,

Today my husband and I had an appointment with the nurse at my Dr's office to sign all the consents for IVF. We will be starting after my next AF (today is day 21 of my cycle so we have to wait because I don't have my meds to start today). I'm assuming that we will start on day 21 of this coming period, right? The Dr. visit was fine until she had to show my DH how to give me my shot in my butt. I almost threw up in the office!!

Of course, he did it and I didn't even feel it. It's the anticipation and the lack of control (I give myself the other shots in my belly and have control of exactly "when" I am ready to do it).

I am feeling very overwhelmed with all the different meds I have to take and the whole process in general. I'm sure it will pass as we are going through it.

The one thing I am fuzzy about is the lupron. I start this on day 21 and then get my period?? and then continue with the stimulating drugs?? how many days do I take the lupron? and what if I don't get a period?

I'm sorry this is sort of all over the place - it's the state of mind I'm in this evening..

Wishing you all the best...

Hi Jkos - firstly congratulations on gettin a start date for ivf. I'm afraid I've no experience of using lupron so can't give any advice with that.
Its only natural to be overwhelmed with all the stuff you guys have to do - but i'm sure you'll both cope really well.
Best of luck for your treatment and hope its a +ve outcome

Hi fellow limboers,

Im not very happy with my GP today, He was supposed to have sent off our refferal four weeks ago and i have been waiting for our appointment for the last 3 weeks, i rang Ivf clinic this morning, surprise surprise they havent recieved it, so then i rang our Gp, guess what he never sent it  It may only be a few weeks to him but its a missed cycle to me.
Sorry for having a moan, guess i just feel really let down by a Gp i trusted to help us.

Indiana
Moan away - thats terrible - how disappointing for you and DH -sometimes you could just shout your head off at people for not doing stuff correctly and in time. Your gp of all people should know how delicate your situation is and act promptly.
Best of luck for when you do start ivf - I'll be rooting for you

Oh Indiana thats great news - hope it goes well.
I'm so jealous - you have your own horse - lucky pup. I had to sell mine in Jan to pay for ivf and miss him every day (everyone will be sick of hearing this on here as I've said it a few times).
Anyway give your horse a pat from me :D

Also just wanted to say bye i'm moving over to the november buddies thread and I'll be starting trmt in the next 2 weeks (af should be here in the next 2 days).

Will of course pop back and make sure you're all ok
Take care all and have a lovely weekend
