Egg Collection & transfer

This is going to be our first egg collection. I was just wondering how long is it between EC & ET?

Hi Mitch

I had my EC done on the Monday and the ET on the Wednesday, it is normally 2 days after transfer unless you are going for a blast. I am at a London Hospital, what hospital are you having your treatment?

Hi Mitch,
Usually ET is done on the 3rd day of EC- but then again depends on your clinic protocol and also if they do a blastocyst implantation then its done on the 4th or 5th day of retrieval..

Karron: I am having my EC done on Thursday at The Lister Hospital, I'm a bit worried about what to expect and feeling a bit sad incase it doesn't work. But still trying to be very positive at the same time.
Maybe its all the drugs i've been taking, my emotions are upside down

Hi Mitch, My clinic always tries to do a blasto transfer 5 days after EC. There is a September buddies thread...with lots of woman going through the same process as you sharing stories and experience - you are more then welcome to join them.

hi there mitch.....
i think that the ET depends on where you are.... we have always done a 5day transfer....so i do not know anything about 2 or 3 days...

hope that thursday goes well..... which i'm sure it will... the drugs do play with your emothions and i actually seem to cry all the time, just about anything. we are looking to have our EC on Tuesday or wednesday next week.... we are hoping that it works out!!!

you can join us on the september buddies....i think that one of the girls might be really close to EC with you...
