Hi everyone. I am looking for a chat buddy. I've been trying to concieve for 3 years now. I've been seeing a reproductive endocronologist for 2 years now with no luck. I was on Clomid and doing IUI's forever. My Husband has a low sperm count as well. I'm starting my injections in a few weeks as soon as I get my next period which is due on the 24th but will probably be late or not come b/c I am not taking the clomid anymore. I am scared about the whole injection thing. I can't afford IVF so this is the way we are going now.

I am not sure what injections you are having if you are not doing IVF, but in any case i can assure you that they are not nearly as bad as you anticipate!
Just numb the area first for a few moments with a block of ice and grab hold of as much fat as you can (i tend to slouch while sitting on a chair so my body is more relaxed) and put the needle in straight. It is all over in a matter of moments and you can then get on with the rest of your evening. Have something like a nice hot bath/crap TV programme or some chocolate waiting for you. What treatment are you having? I believe you can be given a medicine to induce your period anyway, so if it doesn't come on it's own don't worry too much. In the meantime, make sure you get yourself on the waiting list of your local NHS hospital's assisted conception unit. As from the law passed last year, everyone is entitled to a free IVF cycle. Even if you don't need it in the end, it's good to know that the offer is there.
